You’re being way over critical to the later picks after just two seasons.

Joseph … stinks at corner, but an elite gunner. Terrible for a 2nd rounder, but is what it is.

Osa … rotational guy who shows up at times. Not a full time player so hard to see.

Golston … M.I.A

Wright … another special teams guy. Will see some snaps here with Joseph out.

Cox … for the life of me I don’t see why he doesn’t play. We will find out these next few weeks.

Ball … absolutely terrible.

Simi … has flashed in practice but hasn’t showed up in games.

Big Bo … like Osa, solid rotational guy.

Muk … played corner last week. Super versatile. Love his upside

Farniok … was seeing snaps before he was hurt.

I say you landed 1 HOF player (Micah), 3-4 starter types (Osa, Bo, Muk) , 1-2 special team guys (Joseph, Wright). Two guys just need reps Cox and Golston.

Cox is a tweener so it hard to place him on the Field. This is one of the reasons why he dropped down the draft board.

Exactly. They saw a high end athlete with high end traits and reached for need hoping they’d hit.

I could probably come up with close to 10 dudes that that were ranked ahead of him that would’ve been better picks.
He's lost.

No, you're not. You don't take either option. You use both, along w/ many other factors.

Kelvin was definitely a reach, and truthfully he was simply a project reach. Which you absolutely do not do in the 2nd.

The needs vs BPA thing is strictly a fan argument. No team uses those strategies, that would be extremely foolish.
They surely reached, but there's evidence that he's not even much of a project. Maybe in year 3 or 4? I don't see it, but I'm always hopeful.

Overall the draft is bust with Micah as the only upside whose shine is going down as well.
All this talk about building through the draft and valuing picks over FA has amounted to pile of trash and tons of dead money due to Jones’s egos. I don’t want to hear brain washed Cowboys fan claiming picks are more valuable than FAs.

1st round: Micah is good but still hasn’t improved run defense the biggest weakness in the defender

2nd round: So far a bust getting burnt with minimum contribution on defense

3rd round: Osa Odighizuwa can’t stop the run and isn’t getting sacks or pressure

3rd round: Chauncey Golston too slow to play DE and too small to play DT has helped given up over 4.0 yards a carry in run defense

3rd round: Nashon Wright another burnt toast that can’t cover

4th round: Jabril Cox besides a dirty hit on Jones hasn’t produced squat on defense and can’t even play special teams.

4th round: Josh Ball aka another Chaez Green turnstile.

5th round: Simi Fehoko special teams player

6th round: Quinton Bohanna often injured and run defense is still trash

6th round: Israel Mukuamu special teams player at best.

7th round: Matt Farniok always injured but decent depth on OL

Who is on 2nd, ruffian?
No, really.

You kidding? Morons don't even understand what a complete stud Ware was. Easily the best pass rusher the Cowboys have ever had, and easily a top 10 all time edge rusher. Can you imagine if he'd actually had talent around him? Dude would've had 35 sacks in a season.
Always thought Harvey Martin hasn't gotten his full due.

But could imagine Ware next to Randy White and Too Tall coming from the other side? Larry Cole was no slouch either. He may have been the all time great.

I get different era, human evolution, etc. But I'm not sure a QB would even try to drop back against that line.

There is no excuse for the NFL not going back farther as regards sacks; just typical sloth and incompetence
As regards Ware, another case of a Great Cowboy whose career HERE was wasted because of the Clown Show.
I was so glad he got his ring with the Broncos; and the way he put Brady down in that last series of the AFC Championship game should have shut up the morons that claimed he never could perform when it mattered. And THAT happened when he clearly was past his prime.

Oft injured straightlinish tweener.

I couldn't believe the hoopla about him when we took him. It was worse than that w/ that Robinson kid.

A project simply means that he has some major traits/skills(which he does) but needs a ton of work and is not NFL ready. He was definitely a project pick.

Of course they are all prospects, but teams rank them for a reason. And I don’t blame all misses on reaching for need - sometimes you just whiff.

I’m taking option number 2 10 times out of 10 and twice on Sunday. And of course when teams build their draft board they keep their roster in mind. Ex - heading into last years draft Id imagine we probably didn’t even have RBs on the board. And players are drafted high based on upside / athleticism / tape. The more of those boxes they check the higher drafted.

Kelvin had upside / athleticism but he had like 1 season of up and down tape and off the field questions. He was a reach.

Kelvin Joseph is ***.

Hey maybe this season is a big piece of his development and he can turn into a decent starter.

Not going to hold my breath. Looking like a bust in the making.

Does he actually care about playing football? I have doubts and questions…
