He just threw to a guy who was covered. Was also a good play by the defender to come away with the ball. Can be a bit of both.

True.
QBs not willing to throw to guys covered will rarely go all the way.
Cant just trow to wide open guys.

But maybe he shouldn't have thrown it

Possibly the best pass Ive seen in playoffs in years was on the game-winning drive in the Super Bowl to a very tightly covered WR…..a no looker even
Rams do t make that pass, they lose
