2023 NCAA March Madness

Go HOGS!!!

Another year and another 1 seed out by the Razorbacks.

Rough tourney so far for the #1s

Purdue out
Kansas out

Houston is in trouble too. Hope they rally in the 2nd half

15th seed Princeton wins again, easily beating Missouri...lol

Nice recovery by the Cougars.
Were down 10 at the half but now lead 54-50 w/ 8 minute left.

Maybe UCLA ends up advancing. But if they don't a wonder when the last time none of the top 5 all-time winningest programs did not even make a Sweet 16?

Kentucky, N Carolina, Kansas, Duke, UCLA
40 years?
50?
60?

Maybe UCLA wins later today and the point is moot.
But it's an interesting trivia question

I'd like to see a "new" team win it all anyway this year
Houston, Bama, Gonzaga, Texas all seem possible

Nevermind....jeesh
UCLA already made it

maybe this also applies to elite 8, but that would be tougher

Well my Hoosiers crapped the bed, time to root for the smarty pants.

Ended up winning by 17 with Shead and Sasser sitting for most of it.

That UT game was a nail biter too. They're playing lights out right now.
Tramon Mark was lights-out while Sasser and Shead were on the bench cuz of foul trouble. That Coogs team has depth.

Miami has a very good team. ACC was down this year but Miami was the most dangerous team.
I saw the matchup.numbers and was like dang, I wish Indiana had won. Lol

Miami was everything... And then hitting all them threes??? Ain't no shame being beat by them.

I’m sorry, but being the highest rank all season and not making it past the sweet sixteen is a failure. If you can’t tell, I am still angry!

Was rooting for Princeton. They gave it a good try but came up short.

Happy Houston lost. Would have preferred IU to have done it but I will take it.

Not at all... I looked at the numbers. This was a tough matchup for UH.

Their numbers were virtually equal, but Miami scoring average was way more.
Yeah. I think Houston would taken them 4 of 7, but it wasn't a big upset when you look closer.
Miami is a good all-around team too.

So by now most of you have heard the trivia about this year's elite 8

  • 1st time EVER that no #1 seed made it to the Elite 8
  • Only 1 team of the Elite 8 has ever even won an NCAA basketball title...that's amazing
So, if UConn losses we are going to get a new, 1st time National Champ!

Give me any of:
Texas, Gonzaga, Miami, FAU, Kansas St, Creighton or San Diego St

For me...any of those teams but UConn--who, if they won would be winning title #5
Unfortunately, UConn has looked amazing.
Double standard, I know, because if it was UNC instead of UConn, I'd be pulling for them to get #7...
:muttley:

If UConn does not make the Final 4, this year will be the exact opposite of last year
  • NO "BLUE BLOODS" this year...with possibly no teams owning a single title
  • ALL Basketball Blue Bloods last year w/ Kansas (4 titles), Duke (5), UNC (6), Nova (3)...... all teams each owning multiple titles

Though, I suspect if Gonzaga wins their first title they will probably creep into official blue blood territory...need at least one though no matter how good you are
