Draft
Rd. 1(26) Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia
Rd. 2(58) Keeanu Benton, DT, Wisconsin
Rd. 3(90) Demarvion Overshown, LB, Texas
Rd. 4(128) Mekhai Becton, CB, USC
Rd. 5(161) Kendre Miller, RB, TCU
The reason I picked Washington with our first pick is because I think our 2 biggest needs are TE and LB. There’s no way I can see the type of offense our HC and OC want to run with Ferguson and Hendershot as the primary TEs, nor will we ever be able to run any 2TE sets with them. Washington is a huge, athletic target for Dak who can make contested catches and turn them upfield, while also serving as an extra OL in the run game. It just makes too much sense to me to take him in the end of the first round.
