At its best it Alabama certainly was a better team than those three. Now it was too inconsistent and that rightfully cost it a shot at the playoffs, but talent wise you really cannot argue that it was not more so.
Nonsense take again.
Alabama wasn't that good, period.

When they release final rankings, ASU will be easily above Bama and likely top 10.
Boise St will very likely stay above Alabama as they were in the pre-CFP rankings.
Bama was not good this year and should not have been top 20.
They played 1 elite half of football all year. Thats it. They lost 4 games. 3 of them to teams that lost 5 or more games.

Anyone else that argues this goes on ignore for being too daft to debate in CFP.
It was a silly bad take before they lost to Michigan but just obtuse and attention seeking now.

typo there but i agree with everything you wrote,16 team playoff seems inevitable.
Yup, the bye wasn't really a benefit, and they can make even more money by adding the 4 teams.
The P2 likely has to settle for status quo in 2025 but in 2026 the power shifts to them.
And they want 4 GTD spots for the B1G and SEC.
I am hopeful we see the 8 first round games played at home stadiums and the top 4 seeds remain divvied up by conf.

To alleviate making the regular season and conf championships lose all meaning they need to assign it real value.

Realistically this was the best season of CFB probably ever. Carried to late January and saw such a high level of product across the board with NIL boosting talent pools.

Putting some serious coin on OSU -9 tonight. I think ND is going to have trouble scoring

It hurts. But we made OSU sweat the last few minutes of the game and I am very proud of the Irish. I hope we can keep Marcus Freeman for four or five more years. If we do, we have a shot at getting a couple of Nattys.
