Agreed in principle.

I think Tyron comes back though, and this is a really good crop of FA RBs. After last year, you're going to be able to get a Saquon or Josh Jacobs for basically what you paid Pollard this year.
I’d be in for a mid price RB.

Someone like Swift, Harris or Foreman all in their mid 20s and could like be had for around 5/6 mil per year.

Just get Saquon for 10-11. Those guys offer nothing. That $5m doesn't matter.

Saquon has proven to not be worth the money and he can’t stay healthy…time and time again. That’s be dumber than us extending Zeke.

The others guys will give us what Pollard gives us at half the cost.

You don't have to give him term. It makes more sense to pay $10m for a guy who can be a gamebreaker like Saquon than $5m on an any average rb.

Saquon has cracked 1K once in the last 4 years. You good with giving that production 10 million?

That would be an incredibly terrible decision IMO.

If the thought on running backs is that they are disposable, then why not look to draft a guy with more tread on his tires, and locked into a low wage rookie deal? Makes a lot more sense than dropping 8-10M on a guy who has greater wear on him, and isn't generational.

That is the best plan. There are always good ones on day 2.

This is exactly what we should do…not opposed to signing a cheap vet but keep building the OL and draft a mid round RB.

We should’ve last year bc the class was loaded.

Bo Jackson wouldn't crack 1k behind that offensive line.

With a functional passing game and even decent blocking he can be a difference maker. I'm taking that chance instead of spending $10m on backup OL and depth corners.

This isn’t just an OL thing it’s a can’t stay on the field thing.

Giving RBs big money is an awful use of the cap…giving one’s with injury concerns is an even worse use of the cap.

Hard pass.

$10m isn't big money, especially without term.

It’s massive money for one of the most replaceable positions in football.

We could potentially sign Tyron for 10+ million instead who’s playing like a top 5 LT in football at one of the most expensive positions instead.

Who would you rather have?

1) Tackle/Guard - grab a college left tackle that projects inside in the pro's.
Big and mean !
2) RB - haven't looked at any yet, but preferably a # 220 big strong back. Pollard should not be back, he cost $10 million this year and he's not gonna be any cheaper. Should be some good ones in the 2nd round.
3) MLBer. We need a big body in the middle.
4) No pick.
5) Comp. Pick - best available Slot Corner.
6) Comp. Pick - Best available depth.
7) 2 picks - depth players.
Only caveat would be if we were picking 31 or 32. And all the top Tackle/ Guards are already gone - I may look at grabbing the Center Pran (sp) who looks great.
Agree especially @ MLB. This franchise hasn't had a solid MLB since Ken Norton, jr. If Dallas can find a monster man, for the middle, will improve the run D.

OL and LB. I do hope that Overshown comes back healthy and continues to impress.

Always interested in your WR talent…especially considering the value. I think Cooks has been fine but he’s not stopping me from adding another kid if he’s BPA.

It’s weird how the Cowboys have struggled to maximize his skill set.
