2024, "soft rebuild"?

There's a reason most coaches and FA's were signed to one year deals.

Fisher, take him with a grain of salt, has been saying they were planning to blow it up after this season if it didn't go right.

Of course the flaw there is that if you're going to rebuild, why do you ever do it "soft"? They're wasting 2024 if that was ever even the plan at all.

Oh it’s soft and Jerry just ordered the blue pill

Then again, he likes the attention he's going to get from Stephen A tomorrow (even if it is us fans getting massacred tomorrow), and seeing his fans get ridiculed might be all the blue pills he needs lol.

What about this year is any different than years passed? We sign our stars. We sign 1-2 year deals. We pass on big free agents. Nothing new to see here. We rely almost entirely on the draft.

Just this year it has caught up with us. Our team is aging. Injuries have hit. And our draft has been hit or miss too often.
Team is actually on the younger side

Not signing Dak would have instituted a "complete rebuild".
I posted a thread about this last week and fully agree with you. People also seem to not fully understand what a soft rebuild is when they mention the Dak re-signing.

Problem is Jerry and his boy are homers. Literally. Thought we were gonna get better because of our draft picks and younger guys were gonna improve more. Like Jerry said , he’s shocked how we lost .. don’t know why when yet we have been blown out at home 3 out of 4 games at home.. it’s ridiculous .

Do you have a link to your post? I'd be interested in seeing the replies.

I don't think they believed the defense would have been as bad as it is and the injuries would mount to this level. Otherwise, it would have been "soft".
Tbh I didn’t expect the defense to be this bad either. However waiting to sign a DT until the last week of August is pretty wild and telling

How many fans believe the organization has taken a "soft rebuild" approach to the 2024 season? If so, what do you think the plans are going forward?
Yes because of the cap situation they have no choice. Next year will be the same. They lose 30 players after the year and only have 60 million to spend.

“Soft”?

This team needs a complete and utter nuclear level bomb rebuild. I’m talking a 4 year plan which involves tanking throughout the years, and ultimately drafting o-line and d-line men, then getting a RB and QB in the final 2 years of Dak’s atrocious contract which is when this team will maybe…just maybe be good again (if Jerry is stripped of his title due to declining health of course). If we can convince the nfl and the government to do a welfare check on him, maybe they can prove he’s not fit to run such a high level organization.

This is in line with what I've heard about 2024 being a "soft rebuild".
