Solid player. Luka wanted him too not sure why Lakers let him walk.

After the playoffs JJ Reddick and Rob Pelinka both said they want a roster of guys who can shoot, pass and dribble. Rui can't pass or dribble. He's always been a liability on defense as well with his offensive efficiency masking it but when his shot isn't falling he becomes all but useless and disappears for long stretches at a time. He's also a below average rebounder for his size and has one of the lowest assist-to-usage ratios out of all NBA forwards.

I'm glad he didn't sign with the Mavs.

I think the Lakers are low key trying to start all over and build through the draft.

They see the Spurs, Mavs and are like uh-oh.

I mean… they just traded several FRPs to Utah. I don’t see how that can be their thought process

Hmmmm...when I see guys like Vanderbilt I don't think of pass, shoot or dribble.....

Lakers are just compiling talent. I guess the plan is to outscore teams but they don't really have great scorers.

But they did get some shooters in Mamu and Sexton. Sexton seems more of a off the dribble shooter but whatever Lakers know what they are doing lol.

I don't even know what draft picks they have I think Mavs have their 1st rounder in 2029.....I think this is their "all in" attempt.

The league is getting away from the guys they signed and siging guys like Vanderbilt but they want dribblers, passers and scorers. Nothing about defense.
