He had to go to the right situation. A team that could afford to let him redshirt. He definitely needed to be paired with another front court player who could provide spacing. Wings/Guards who can attack and he can clean up or shoot from the perimeter to provide spacing.Yea everyone knew this before the draft.
He is a good, quick player, but he is going to take a beating at the NBA level. He had better make the most of the early part of his career as I suspect he is going to have durability issues long term.The Philon one confuses me…. But clearly the media/internet “experts” had a different view of him versus front offices. Not that front offices are infallible… but I’d love to know what they saw differently.
