They have not exercised anything yet. I would go ahead and lock him up by training camp once they sort out the cap.

Leary is a guy who is worth quite a bit to this team, and many others. There is a significant shortage of starting quality offensive linemen in the NFL.

Yes, but he will be a reserve for as long as Collins is healthy, has knee woes and does not do anything but play guard.

I don't think paying him more than what we are right now on a tender deal is that advisable given those limitations.

 

[Verdict]

Gachkar is one of the signings that I think we made just to fill a hole and overpaid. I didn't like the signing at the time and I don't like it any better in retrospect.
