Why are you surprised? We had posters excusing Hardy's behavior because she took the payoff and split. Had some totally discount the girl's story against Elliott's because he's a Cowboy. Irvin and Newton are felons and some love them.

Now we get some passing judgment on a 25 year old woman they know nothing about and I am sure if they found out they were a billionaire's illegitimate offspring they'd just go "oh well, them's the breaks".

The fact is this is a story because the antagonist has used the media like a Kardashian and there is a price to pay for that when thing's go south.

It really is odd behavior. Jerry abandoned a child for personal convenience and was able to do it because he's rich and her mother was not. What a great guy.

No one here knows when the girl learned Jerry is her father. To want him to acknowledge her existence is normal. Anyone whose father pretended they didn't exist, for his own selfish reasons, can understand. Unfortunately, I personally know of too many people whose father did exactly that. Having a trust fund doesn't make it okay.

read the dang story of course his wife would know its a legal issue that was signed, sealed, paid, and delivered and now the alleged daughter is coming back for more money at 25 ..im sorry but this isnt a story nothing illegal , all civil ,and Jones did what he promised.

IMO this woman is doing a money grab and that actually not god look for her. i mean if Jones wanted to do more that cool but in no way is he obligated given he followed through on his legal promises.

Do more? How about being a father to your child, like he was to his other 3.

I agree with everything you said except the part about the ball players not being tainted by his personal indiscretions. Since 94 the players were placed in charge of the team. Jerry put himself along side the players as far as who wins games. He's meddlesome and undermining to all his coaches. With the likes of Aikman, Irvin and all the other HOFers we were able to squeeze out 2 successful seasons, one ending in a SB. Since that Super Bowl we have been garbage. Jerry has been all everything Dallas Cowboys. So Jerry is the unquestioned leader of this franchise. A franchise that has been one of the worst in football for 25 years. We joke about the party bus and yachts but it's a problem as far as winning. If mr. Everything Related to Cowboys is more focused on off the field stuff than winning football games then how do we ask the players to only focus on football? How do we ask the players to prioritize winning when the owner/gm doesn't and he only hires coaches that will not outshine him. This is a destructive cycle that has kept us a WC team at best the last 25 years.

You make some viable points, but I disagree with the “garbage” and “worst in 25 years”, when in fact it’s almost the opposite. Dallas is near the top in regular season winning percentage. We just haven’t done well in the playoffs. It’s not a popular point I’m making, I’m as frustrated as anyone over the lack of Super Bowls, and I imagine my comments will draw angry name calling because the frustration is epic, but I gotta stand firm in my beliefs. I WON’T feel embarrassed, inferior or apologetic for the past sexual indiscretions of a drunken, mega-rich attentionwhore that happens to own my favorite football team.

The Cowboys are my favorite for 1,000 different reasons, and Jerry Jones is not on the list. But what else can I do except remember the past and hope for the future?

There are countless people like this young woman who has spent most of her formative years watching her biological father show off his "real family" to the world.

What I do not agree with is calling this nothing but a cash grab by people who are not inside her head. What's her life been like? Her Mom's life? Does she have revenge on his plate and this is the only way to exact it? And they wouldn't?

It is fact, this is really none of our business but made so because of the owner's hunger for attention. Any other owner in the NFL doesn't get this kind of coverage but quite a few in the media want some payback because of his strongarm tactics for exposure. Does anyone here really think these nets want a shot of him and his son at away games when they don't even show the owner of the home team?

I find it hilarious for you to say hey... we dont know what is in her head in one sentence and then in the other you explain exactly what Jerry was thinking and his reasons for all his decision making... which is what you do in any post involving Jerry. Explain why someone cant say this woman is trying to get more money because we dont know her motivations, yet saying Jerry views her as a big mistake?

While I get it and thats a great point, The issue I think is how dysfunctional and willfully complicit many are within the team itself. This is just part in parcel of the issues. We see a pattern being revealed. The journalists embedded within the club are supposed 2 be unbiased and report facts and they willfully chose 2 ignore them in each case.

If I am someone like Mike Fisher and I get inside access to the team, hell the team even gives me an office, and I have developed a personal relationship with Jerry, I aint touching this story either. Why? You think this story isnt going to get plenty of coverage without Fisher reporting on it? Id keep doing what pays my bills... reporting on team activities and leave the owners personal life out of it. But I know all of you, like you always do, have all the answers on what an individual should do in regards to making decisions that could impact his livelihood.

Please quote my words that you feel defend him. I dont defend nor condemn, because I dont care. It is a part of life that faces society. I have a very good friend who fooled around on his wife years ago. he told me the story and then asked me if it changes how I view him.
