QB - Clayton Thorson(Northwestern) Brett Rypien(Boise State)
RB- Karan Higdon(Michigan) LJ Scott(Michigan State)
WR- Emanuel Hall(Missouri) Hunter Renfrow(Clemson)
TE- Foster Moreau(LSU) Tommy Sweeney(Boston College)
C- Garrett Bradbury(NC State) Alec Eberle(Florida State)
G- Beau Benzschawel(Wisconsin) Ross Pierschbacher(Alabama)
T- Yodny Cajuste(West Virginia) Andre Dillard(Washington State)

DE- Jaylon Ferguson(La-Tech) Oshane Ximines(Old Dominion)
DT- Terry Beckner Jr.(Missouri) Daniel Wise(Kansas)
CB- Blace Brown(Troy) Jamal Peters(Mississippi State)
FS/SS Lukas Denis(Boston College) Andrew Wingard(Wyoming)

Out of all of these there are a few who i didn't list that could fall a bit but from this list I would personally choose Brett Rypien. Dak isn't the answer and at least Rypien can make all the throws.
Tommy Sweeney would be second option if i had to pick offence.
If i had to go defense I would go with one of the safeties.
There are some good players here just food for thought. It's not all as bad as it seems.

I am not giving up on the QB's.
If the value is there in the 2nd round, I am pulling the trigger on a QB.

A hunch -- Will Grier from WVU, or Ryan Finley from NCState might slide into the 2nd round.
Daniel Jones, from Duke might be an early riser into the 1st round, thus pushing those other QB's into the 2nd round.

Not many teams in a desperate desire to get a QB -- outside of Giants, Denver, and Jacksonville.
So the value might be there in the 2nd round.

I like Finley....Daniel Jones intrigues.

without that 1st, it's a must for McClay to hit big on those first two picks

To me - now that we have no number 1 this year.

Will Wil McClay get two jems in the draft.
if he focuses on defense which is the depth of this draft. Not focusing on offense to prop up the QB.

Tillery is a beast. Got to see him in person when the Irish came here to play Navy a few weeks ago.

Look across the league and probably 95% of starting QBs are first round picks. I’m not interested in picking up one early in the second regardless of the value when there are other positions/playmakers/contributors to be had. The QB class this year doesn’t wow me as it is.

Dak’s replacement won’t be found in 2019.

I'm not too familiar with this draft yet, but I'd be looking at 3Tech or DT with our 2nd. This is usually where you can get a talent at good value, and this was supposed to be a good DL draft.
