3/12 on third downs. 25% efficiency!

the play calling last night was atrocious yet again - there is literally zero creativity and when you look at it in comparison what LA did last night its incredible that our leadership can't see the issues.

Zeke up the middle for 3, zeke up the middle for 3, incomplete pass.....if i had 5 bucks every time that has happened in the last 5 years id buy a new car.

Eh, it's more representative of failures on first and second down. Not that that's better, but your third-down offense will always be bad when you need 8, 9, 10 yards.
Yup. and add in the drops and penalties on 3rd down as well. Those would have helped in this metric. I recall 2-3 drops and 2 penalties? Sloppy all-around.

Do you have stats to back this up? Surely they weren't all third and long..considering they only converted once..probably means they weren't good on third and short middle or long..not just long

Here lies the problem. Perhaps MM may need to interfere in the offense now.

Your'e thoughts.
It shows how bad the playcalling was on 1st and 2nd down when the avg to go on 3rd down was over 10 yards. Also had 3 drops on 3rd down.

OL had issues holding up and so there really wasn't a ton of time for plays to develop. The Rams whole game plan revolved around knowing that they wouldn't be able to hold up for long. The one Rams play that took any time at all resulted in a sack.

To me the difference in the game plan is the difference right there.

One :"drop" was thrown at the ankles of the receiver and behind so uncatchable over the middle. Why am I not shocked at that?
Sloppy all-around. 1 on Schultz, 1 on Amari, 1 on Dak. One of those 3rd downs was also Dak running up the gut diving head first to get to 4th and inches and to keep the game alive, without a long-term contract.

Not all of them.

Distances at quick glance were: 16 3 3 7 10 4 9 6 6 5 13 10 (OPI) 20

This was very troubling. Play calling was just drab. Where was pollard in the passing game? Screens? WR screens? Where was the play action?

The OC is LIMITED by the QB...

And if MM changed to the WC, it would be disastrous for Dak, considering how slowly he’s progressed and how much time it takes for him to be in tune with WRs... He’s a play-it-safe QB...

-------most of the 3rd downs were 3rd and 6+.

Wouldn't matter if they were 3rd and 3.....we still find it difficult to get receivers open in space for easy conversions.
