Good idea. Mingo might well be the only one that I'd want to consider getting signed, but I'll leave it up to the team to make their choices. Maybe they'll know enough to make a decision before other teams can. It's their responsibility to protect their talent, if they possibly can.

I agree that I would love to see these guys get some snaps, but ultimately Jerry put the coaches in a very difficult position being on expiring deals. If I put myself in McCarthy or Zimmers position would I have any motivation to play young guys I have no confidence in? Winning one of these last three games could be the difference between getting a new contract or sitting at home next season. Experimenting with Lance doesnt do any of the coaches any good if hes terrible and makes it easier for Jerry to let them walk after the year.

Jerry needs to call down to McCarthy and tell him what he wants. “Start the young guys. We need to see what our future is. You had your chance the 1st 14 games and you failed!”
