Considering they've been practicing at an outdated facility with no indoor field for years, you'd think people would be happy about this.

But I forgot, this is Cowboyszone.

Never said I was unhappy about this. Just stating my opinion.

But I forgot, this is a chat board where people post their opinions. Some agree, some disagree. Apparently, posting something opposite of what the masses think is not allowable.

Perhaps I just go with the flow in order to build up my "like" count.

I agree. Facility alone is not going to get a guy signed and I doubt that was the reason of building this facility. I think it is important in Jerry mind to have a first class facilities when it comes to America team. people can call it ego but hell if I'm a player I like the fact that I play in a 1st class state of the art stadium and my workout facilities are just as impressive. Let the other owners stick their teams in cow pastures if they want but I give Jerry a big thumbs up for giving this franchise the best.

I know Mark Cuban makes a great first image about the Mavericks. When an opponent comes to play against the Mavs he gives them complimentary embroidered towels with the team's logo on it to take back home with them. The other teams think of that as a classy move and could entice them to come and play for the Mavs if they so choose.

Your right facility alone won't get FA signed here. But it can make a big difference on whether a top notch FA would want to come here over the other teams.

Frisco in now home to the Dallas Stars practice facility, Dallas Cowboys practice facility, Texas Legends (Dallas Mavericks D-League team), and the Frisco RoughRiders (Texas Rangers Double A Affiliate).

Frisco is taking over the Dallas area.

Doesn't FC Dallas of the MLS play their home games in Frisco?

Looks like they should call it Star City. lol

People can say what they want about Jerry but he never does things half ars, that looks like a 1st class practice facility

Some people said the last practice dome facility was half ars after it collapsed. Not me, but I did hear that mentioned and some questioned why Jerry cheaped out on the structure.

Those are nice. However, who is going to pay the bills? Is it Jerry or are they going to increases taxes on the community?

From what I recall, Frisco put up $100+ million, but the rest of the development will be on the Cowboys. I imagine Frisco will get their money back the mixed use community to be built around the facility. The indoor facility will be used for high school games, as well.

Of course anything goes wrong it is Jerry fault. lol

Just before the facility was flattened, winds were clocked at 64 mph, a single mph shy of the threshold for a weak tornado. However, National Weather Service meteorologist Gary Woodall said a "microburst" may have pushed the wind beyond 70 mph at the top of the structure. A microburst also was to blame for a 1985 Delta Airlines crash at nearby DFW airport that killed 137 people.

Jerry may be from Arkansas, but he has embraced Texas all the way. Jerry only does things BIG. The bigger, the splashier, the better. And that's a great thing to have in an owner.

I would think if he owned the building or structure it is ultimately going to fall in his lap.

Sure but not exactly his fault but yes he has responsibilities should something happen even an act of god. However it had nothing to do with Jerry being cheap, if anything by now people should know Jerry is not cheap.

Looks real nice but I still don't like the highrise hotel with views of the outdoor practice fields. I hope they are mindful of who they book in those rooms when the team is there practicing.

1st thing I was thinking too.
