3 qbs on the 53?

It was hard to do the 53 with 2qbs. I take it that they now will have 3 qbs on the 53 with the Lance acquisition.

I’d say that’s a guarantee. Have to readjust those TE and RB numbers I think. 3 of each if I had to guess unless they go light on the offensive line?

I was thinking the same thing. I was using that extra spot to keep Isiah Land or Juanyeh Thomas on my roster projections. Lance being here is awesome but he's going to cost someone else a gig on the 53.

New rule this season. Teams can designate an ‘emergency’ QB but can only play if the other two QB’s get injured. I believe it doesn’t effect the number of players that dress. Of course, he will be in the 53.

Wasn't the extra qb added so teams would not end up like SF did? and the position does not add to the 53? maybe I missed read or heard that?

Dallas has been in the habit of going short at QB lately (only 2), so they've gotten used to having that extra roster spot. It will create a squeeze now, with this deep roster especially.

3 QB is a good idea. Always.

Yeah so now we go thin at another position and probably lose a good UDFA somewhere like Land or Bell or Bass because they have to go to the ps and then get poached making a spot for this huge bust so we don’t (immediately) look like fools for wasting a fourth round pick to them get poached from the ps for free.
Sorry not reserving judgement on this one, this looks like an idiotic move unless someone in our staff is thoroughly convinced the guy can become a starter at some point. Currently he got beat out by Sam Darnold who is worse than Cooper Rush. So what are we doing here?
Probably could’ve gotten Jonathan Taylor for that fourth round pick and something else…

That would be my guess, yeah. I think McKeon is in the final year of his deal anyway

And while I’m a Luepke fan, I haven’t seen enough from him to consider him a must keep.

The add doesn't count against the game day roster of 48 but he does count against the 53 man roster.
