3 Reasons why Duece could have a breakout season!

I think he has to make the roster before we start thinking about a breakout year.

The thing he was good at with KState was pass catching. He has 58 yards as a Cowboy (110 rushing). We're asking him to be a square peg in a triangular hole.

Not his fault he's not what we expected.
 
- Deuce needs a restart with the new (and much improved) coach staff ... McCarthy (like several other players) was a disaster mis-scheme, mis-fit for Deuce.

- He tried to run Deuce like Rico Dowdle, ..like a conventional backup RB. I believe you have to scheme and play to a players best strengths an skill set, instead of
the square peg in a round hole.

- The run design here was a utter mess, coach scheme was a mess, and they simply didnt have a clue how to best utilize his skill set.

- All they seem to know and wanted to do, is run right up the gut middle, the Solari system,..and they didn't know how to scheme him as a nickel back, ..no RB screens,
no design to scheme him into the quick open field, ...no creative edge run designs, .. no isolation plays outta the backfield

- frankly i also did not care for a asst OL coach being a RB coach (ala Jeff Lasko) ... it's a reason why we see former RB players being RB coaches around the NFL. - as opposed to OL coaches as RB coaches.

I'm not sure if Deuce is the satay type, but it couldn't hurt his chances.
 
Stephen Jones is saying the team wants to re-sign Dowdle. I would hope that RB is also a priority in this draft, so I don't know how much of a role Vaughn could carve out because I'm not sure how much of a chance he's going to get.

Frankly, I'm hesitant on Rico. He ended up with a great season, but I think we should try to upgrade the starting role. Give Dowdle some true competition for it if we are going to bring him back. If nothing else, that gives us backs who can share the load or step in if the other gets injured.
 
Unless one of those reasons is a sweeping rule that defenses can’t start anyone over 5’10”, then I’m thinking there’s a zero percent chance of a breakout.
 
Deuce was a stud at a big college program. Had no issues running against the likes of Michigan, bama etc. He was used poorly by MM. He was barely used. He needs to be used on delays, delayed HB screens, wheel routes. In space! Running him thru the A and B gap on dives with a suss line at times isn't how you use him.
 
Due e.is not an NFL caliber RB. It was a nice feel good story but it's time to cut bait which is exactly what the ignorant Jones Boys won't do. He will continue to eat a roster space and do nothing
 
I wished they fired his dad when they changed coaches, maybe then we could get this waste of space off the team. The only reason he has a spot is because his dad works for Jerry, period. He is a complete and total waste of space on the roster.

The entire ownership/management structure reeks of Nepotism so why would the coaches and players be any different?.......I was expecting Zimmers young girlfriend to become Cowboys Head Cheerleader last season
