There are three types of naysayers and I'm sick of all of them (you).

1) We are just to inexperienced to compete with Rogers and Manning in the playoffs.

2) Our defense isn't good enough to win in the playoffs.

3) I'm just glad we made it this far because nobody expected the Cowboys to be 13-3. Our window is in the next few years.

Can I scream? SHUT THE FREAK UP!! All of you.

We were the best team in the NFC this year. Second best in the entire NFL. Remember these two things. We run, and we stop the run. Also remember this, these guys are fearless. We have plenty of veteran leadership, so I don't want to hear that either. But since we are on that topic, where did that get us during the past 20 years? There have only been 2-3 dominant teams In the league this year, and WE ARE ONE OF THEM. As much as you say you don't want to see NY or GB or Seattle, they don't want to see us either.

I am one of people on this board that for years has told people not to question the fandom of others. Just because we don't agree, or see eye to eye doesn't mean either one of us is less or more of a fan than the other. But I will say this!! Now is not the time for you scared, wishy washy, social club fans to act like we don't belong or we aren't the best team and the #1 seed in the NFC. Grow a pair and put on a little of the same swag that all these guys on the team have right now!!!

Let's be realistic the odds aren't in our favor with a rookie QB despite how great a season he's had. Doesn't mean we can't get it done in the playoffs but there's three QBs in the NFC that have SB rings which is an advantage because they have playoff/championship experience. Our defense has been an issue the last four times we made the playoffs. We haven't been able to make critical stops or generate a 4th quarter pass rush.

We haven't been a good home team so home field hasn't been an advantage. Regular season records go out the window now because it's do or die from here on out. We have a shot but we've got some hurdles we're going to have to get over. Our defense is going to have to show up in the playoffs because defense wins championships.

The window stuff is ridiculous. Look at the Panthers from last year. Go back and look what people were saying about the 49ers from a few years ago. Unless you're the Patriots, you gotta strike while the iron is hot in this salary cap era b/c nothing is guaranteed. We're literally going to be 100% healthy in 2 weeks and 2 home games to go to the Super Bowl. IT'S OUR TIME.

Similar to 2007 and we found out that regular season success doesn't guarantee you anything in the playoffs. It's anyones game now we'll just have to see if we can step up and be the team in the playoffs that we were during the regular season. Honestly, I felt we were playing our best football earlier in the season from week 5 to week 10.

As a team they are playing their best right now, aside from the Eagles game. The defense has found a new star in Irving and an ability to generate turnovers (and sacks)...something they didn't have until the Giants game. Marinelli absolutely has to find a way to give that guy MORE snaps. Prescott, with the tough loss against the Giants, might have recovered to a new level going forward...at least judging by how...and where he threw against the Lions. He will get better with more experience...which means the team "should" be better in the playoffs. I would have had him and Romo play that entire first half against Philadelphia. Every additional snap you can give Prescott only benefits him going forward.

The W-L record is often cited in defense of Prescott but there have been many quarterbacks that have generated 13-3 seasons, only to go down in the playoffs.

When the Cowboys win the SB then and only then will you see some of these peeps show some stones.

Most are simply afraid to do so right now. Afraid of losing internet cred. Afraid of being an easy target for the "I told you so" crowd later on. Afraid of being labeled a homer.

You can see how many replies to this post you received. And how many likes you got. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I don't blame them to a large extent. The Cowboys haven't made any significant noise in the post-season in a long time. And the Cowboys hate on the internet is very, very strong. Relentless in fact. So its easy to turtle up to a degree.

But we'll see. In my mind, the Cowboys are the best TEAM in the NFL right now. They just need to go out in the playoffs and SB and prove it.

I think they will.

I just hope they run Zeke more and often. Rest time is over.

For the benefit of the OP, I believe this forum is dedicated to the sharing of opinions of ALL of its members. It's not solely for the benefit of those who lean towards one specific mindset. It's closed minded and rude for anyone to insist upon other members to bow down to one way of thinking that might be opposed to yours. Let's be considerate and tolerant of the opinions of ALL members here, shall we? Thanks in advance.

Most people here believe the Cowboys have a real shot at the SB...Its just that after so many bad years they just can not believe what there own eyes are showing them!!
The same thing happened in 1992. I remember nobody gave us much of a chance to beat the 49ers in the championship game. I was no nervous I kept changing the channel. Then in the SB we still weren't getting all the respect we deserved. It was we were young and the Bills had all the experience. After we won the SB then we were respected.

True. In 92..l honestly believed the Cowboys were unbeatable. I thought they would destroy the Bills and the 49ers.

I felt that way in 93 but in 92 it was kind of hope with me. lol It was like a long journey from losing in the late 80's. I remember being made fun of because I was a Cowboy fan back then. I tell you when we finally won the SB, that feeling was fantastic. I can imagine our next SB will feel the same way. Nothing is better than the first after waiting for it for so long.

Absolutely. The last 20 years have been painfull for any old time Cowboy fan. When the Cowboys have had good clubs, like the present team, l am always very optimistic. During the 70's, and l know this will sound crazy to the younger Cowboy fans, l really believed the Cowboys would win the SB every year! I was young of course!!

Well JG is the HC so there is that, :flagwave:
and his teams always seem to play bad after a bye
I worry about the game plan they come up with more than anything else.

But If they just do what they did earlier in season, short passes , long drives, no turnovers, they should do ok against any team.
I also think that philly debacle didnt help team morale.

Now we wait and see who they play, and then how they do.
