Let's be realistic the odds aren't in our favor with a rookie QB despite how great a season he's had. Doesn't mean we can't get it done in the playoffs but there's three QBs in the NFC that have SB rings which is an advantage because they have playoff/championship experience. Our defense has been an issue the last four times we made the playoffs. We haven't been able to make critical stops or generate a 4th quarter pass rush.

We haven't been a good home team so home field hasn't been an advantage. Regular season records go out the window now because it's do or die from here on out. We have a shot but we've got some hurdles we're going to have to get over. Our defense is going to have to show up in the playoffs because defense wins championships.

Nice; we all need to hold our water...

Lol, a lot of naysayers on a COWBOYS forum!! I've been a fan since the late 80's so I've been through some of the really bad years, I just don't get the lack of enthusiasm for this team. We should all be excited about this...we have the chance to be special for a lot of years and this is just the beginning. I could care less about what QB we're facing and how many Super Bowls they've won. We all know anything can happen in the playoffs. People ***** about the media not giving us credit...shoot we can't even get credit here on the forum, what's wrong with some of you. I understand being realistic, but we've heard all year "the cowboys real test comes this week" well I'd say we passed every test with flying colors besides the Giants losses, but I have no problem facing them again. C'mon guys, it's been years since we've had a team that's this well rounded, let's just appreciate what we have for once.
The reasons are past failures, and or not making playoffs, have geared dallas fans for just that.
The other reason is the whole Dak vs Romo thing.
Romo fans cant be happy with this because Romo is on the bench. 50% of fans want Romo to be starting, the others want Dak.
So either way you have fans complaining or doubting.

People and fans have doubted this team all year, each game was the new "test", and that is still ongoing.
It is a I will believe it when I see it attitude.

I doubt JG and Linehan when it comes to game plan and strategy, and in game adjustments.
I didnt like what they did in phil game, and at end of season, so I dont know how they will do for playoffs.

Cowboys are good enough to beat any team they might face, to me it comes down to coaching, and then player
mistakes or do any players step up to have great plays or games.

Yep. The Cowboys should have played to win that Eagles game. My problem with Garrett...he has no guts..dangerous in Playoff showdowns.
giants played to win, no injuries, and they have no bye.
I think they may just win in GB again.

There are three types of naysayers and I'm sick of all of them (you).

1) We are just to inexperienced to compete with Rogers and Manning in the playoffs.

2) Our defense isn't good enough to win in the playoffs.

3) I'm just glad we made it this far because nobody expected the Cowboys to be 13-3. Our window is in the next few years.

Can I scream? SHUT THE FREAK UP!! All of you.

We were the best team in the NFC this year. Second best in the entire NFL. Remember these two things. We run, and we stop the run. Also remember this, these guys are fearless. We have plenty of veteran leadership, so I don't want to hear that either. But since we are on that topic, where did that get us during the past 20 years? There have only been 2-3 dominant teams In the league this year, and WE ARE ONE OF THEM. As much as you say you don't want to see NY or GB or Seattle, they don't want to see us either.

I am one of people on this board that for years has told people not to question the fandom of others. Just because we don't agree, or see eye to eye doesn't mean either one of us is less or more of a fan than the other. But I will say this!! Now is not the time for you scared, wishy washy, social club fans to act like we don't belong or we aren't the best team and the #1 seed in the NFC. Grow a pair and put on a little of the same swag that all these guys on the team have right now!!!
I would argue that we were the best team in the NFL this year, not just the NFC. Patriots have a better record but play in a weaker division, they basically get 4 Cleveland type games with the Jets and the Bills. Miami did better this year and made the playoffs but Miami still isn't as good as the Commanders or the Giants IMO. We were 4 points away from being 15-1 and in both Giants games we played our worst games and still made it close.

The playoffs are typically about QBs and/or defense so 1) and 2) are legitimate concerns.

No team has won a Super Bowl with a rookie QB. Why? Because they're a rookie. You just can't expect from or burden a rookie too much. And where second year QBs have won the Super Bowl, they've usually just played the management role on a team (done enough to win and not lose the game) where the defense is outstanding during the season, and/or remains/becomes so during the playoffs. There are too many good players and coaches on other teams to mess with the head of a rookie QB due to inexperience and competition only elevates during the playoffs. This is a new season and a different level of competition.
I feel what you're saying but I would throw in that Dak is not your typical rookie and our defense is getting good and healthy at the right time. Dak has overcome every physical and emotional hurdle thrown his way this season. If he just plays his game and lets the offensive line do their thing and Zeke do his thing then I feel we'll be good.

Dak being a rookie is the farthest concern I have now. He hasn't played like a rookie and I have seen some pretty good veteran QB's go into the playoffs and stink it up. My main concern is the coaching and the playcalling. Dak vs Eli, Rogers, Ryan, Brady, Smith, etc doesn't concern me as much as Garrett vs. the other coaches. A lot of fans bash Romo for his playoff unsuccess but look at his coaches. Parcells for one year. Then Wade Phillips, who never won a playoff game as a head coach. Then Garrett who was a coach in training for most of Romo's career.

I'm more concerned about Garrett's post season record than I am about Dak being a rookie. just my opinion.

You arn't kidding. Garrett is gutless and plays not to lose. Bad qualities in a winner take all format like the NFL playoffs. Garrett is certainly a liability.
