Well JG is the HC so there is that, :flagwave:
and his teams always seem to play bad after a bye
I worry about the game plan they come up with more than anything else.

But If they just do what they did earlier in season, short passes , long drives, no turnovers, they should do ok against any team.
I also think that philly debacle didnt help team morale.

Now we wait and see who they play, and then how they do.
Yep. The Cowboys should have played to win that Eagles game. My problem with Garrett...he has no guts..dangerous in Playoff showdowns.

Agreed and I think they would have if it wasn't for the absolutely horrendous performance of Sanchez.

I dunno, though, I can't help but wonder if they wanted to see what Sanchez could do. Sadly, they did.

Yep. They were starting to roll on the unmotivated Eagles...until Mark inflicted himself into the game and his picks changed the momentum entirely. I was disgusted. 14-2 momentum....in fairness to Sanchez..he didn't have too much to work with...l am not making any excuses for him though. Those picks!!

Yep, and as if that wasn't enough, he had to take that twenty-yard loss to put the cherry on the cake -- that was sickening!

Philly debacle? Oh hell, just stop. We rested most of our starters, played Butt Fumble 3/4 of the game, and still could've won. That game will have ZERO impact on the team. I guarantee they forgot about it 5 minutes after it was over and began to focus on the post season.

There are three types of naysayers and I'm sick of all of them (you).

1) We are just to inexperienced to compete with Rogers and Manning in the playoffs.

2) Our defense isn't good enough to win in the playoffs.

3) I'm just glad we made it this far because nobody expected the Cowboys to be 13-3. Our window is in the next few years.

Can I scream? SHUT THE FREAK UP!! All of you.

We were the best team in the NFC this year. Second best in the entire NFL. Remember these two things. We run, and we stop the run. Also remember this, these guys are fearless. We have plenty of veteran leadership, so I don't want to hear that either. But since we are on that topic, where did that get us during the past 20 years? There have only been 2-3 dominant teams In the league this year, and WE ARE ONE OF THEM. As much as you say you don't want to see NY or GB or Seattle, they don't want to see us either.

I am one of people on this board that for years has told people not to question the fandom of others. Just because we don't agree, or see eye to eye doesn't mean either one of us is less or more of a fan than the other. But I will say this!! Now is not the time for you scared, wishy washy, social club fans to act like we don't belong or we aren't the best team and the #1 seed in the NFC. Grow a pair and put on a little of the same swag that all these guys on the team have right now!!!

1. Illogical because it's team vs team. He won't beat us alone.
2. This defense is plenty good.
3. Is closest to how I feel but I'm greedy (in a good way) by nature. I want it all. This year.

Let's do this.

Why not Dak?
Why not The Dallas Cowboys?
Why not this Super Bowl?

It's ours.... Until it isn't!

Lol, a lot of naysayers on a COWBOYS forum!! I've been a fan since the late 80's so I've been through some of the really bad years, I just don't get the lack of enthusiasm for this team. We should all be excited about this...we have the chance to be special for a lot of years and this is just the beginning. I could care less about what QB we're facing and how many Super Bowls they've won. We all know anything can happen in the playoffs. People ***** about the media not giving us credit...shoot we can't even get credit here on the forum, what's wrong with some of you. I understand being realistic, but we've heard all year "the cowboys real test comes this week" well I'd say we passed every test with flying colors besides the Giants losses, but I have no problem facing them again. C'mon guys, it's been years since we've had a team that's this well rounded, let's just appreciate what we have for once.

Perhaps everyone who feels Dallas is the team is the best in the NFL shouldn't consider season records as a quantifier in one instance and later say the Cowboys are "in fact" the best team in the league. Maybe not saying the team finished second best period is better. I believe the team itself doesn't feel it finished second best to New England simply because Dallas ended the regular season with one less game in the win column.

Should New Jersey York had felt it was fourth best in the league in 2007 since six other teams finished with regular season records better than their 10-6 mark? I bet the team thought it was the best in the league before they won on the road at Tampa, Dallas, and Green Bay. Coughlin and Company didn't feel they were second fiddle to an undefeated, offensive record-smashing, 18-0 New England team. Some Giants fans may have said differently before those playoffs began though. Then again the same fans may have said they were the best team in their same breath too. That would've been kinda contradictory--in a sorta wishy-washy way.

Just some early morning rambling. /rant

When the Cowboys win the SB then and only then will you see some of these peeps show some stones.

Most are simply afraid to do so right now. Afraid of losing internet cred. Afraid of being an easy target for the "I told you so" crowd later on. Afraid of being labeled a homer.

You can see how many replies to this post you received. And how many likes you got. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I don't blame them to a large extent. The Cowboys haven't made any significant noise in the post-season in a long time. And the Cowboys hate on the internet is very, very strong. Relentless in fact. So its easy to turtle up to a degree.

But we'll see. In my mind, the Cowboys are the best TEAM in the NFL right now. They just need to go out in the playoffs and SB and prove it.

I think they will.
It will be very interesting, to me, to see their attitudes if we go on a long run for years as it appears we are equipped to do. I have a feeling they will still be overly critical. It's just an easier path to take as a fan. If we win(I guess) they're happy-ish. If we lose they can tell everyone that they told you so. Sadly, this will make them feel good.

I guess I'm weird because I think the team is more than capable of winning the SB, but I'm also understand number 2 and 3 on your list.

For the benefit of the OP, I believe this forum is dedicated to the sharing of opinions of ALL of its members. It's not solely for the benefit of those who lean towards one specific mindset. It's closed minded and rude for anyone to insist upon other members to bow down to one way of thinking that might be opposed to yours. Let's be considerate and tolerant of the opinions of ALL members here, shall we? Thanks in advance.
Criticism is healthy. Let them defend their position. Us homers have for a long time.

The playoffs are typically about QBs and/or defense so 1) and 2) are legitimate concerns.

No team has won a Super Bowl with a rookie QB. Why? Because they're a rookie. You just can't expect from or burden a rookie too much. And where second year QBs have won the Super Bowl, they've usually just played the management role on a team (done enough to win and not lose the game) where the defense is outstanding during the season, and/or remains/becomes so during the playoffs. There are too many good players and coaches on other teams to mess with the head of a rookie QB due to inexperience and competition only elevates during the playoffs. This is a new season and a different level of competition.

While true to a large extent, usually starting rookies are also on terrible teams.

I especially love the game day thread when there is 20 minutes left in game and we are up by 3 or down by 3 points....

And people are posting... "we lost", "we are gonna lose".... "the defense is gonna blow it"

It's wacky

How many rookies have had a very good team with a legitimate chance to win it all?

Marino and who else? I'm sure there are some, but I don't know.
