3 games in 11 days, once again. They deserve 10 days off.Yes, week 7 is not the best week, but I think they consider the after Thanksgiving game another mini bye week for us.
Yep....every year.If anything, you can call it "bad luck."
Me, I don't mind the difficult schedule. A tough schedule builds a team up to be playoff ready. If you could not make it out of the regular season, you probably were not good enough to win the Super Bowl.
Yeah, I stopped concerning myself over the schedule layout years ago.I don't recall ever worrying about the schedule. We don't know how good these teams will be. There will also be surprise teams both good and bad.
Who expected the NFC to be so weak last year? On top of that the NFCE played the AFCS.
I agree it’s brutal. But their schedule sets up where they can ride momentum and split that and win the division. The Eagles have a five-game stretch that goes Dallas-KC-Buffalo-SF-Dallas. That is brutal, unless you think we stink. I think we are damn good.
We are taking one of those games, I have no doubt.I mean stink or not that’s still bad. Division rival games are typically though.
Oh for sure.We are taking one of those games, I have no doubt.
I prefer to have later bye weeks but we never do I’m assuming this has something to do with how our games are scheduled from prime-time to Thursday night games.I don't mind the early bye week. Get it out of the way and go play football.
Years ago we always had the bye week in week 4 or 5, I think a few seasons it was week 3 even.
For a long time now we had the bye week around mid season. Which is great. But earlier this time, I don't mind it. More games to get on a roll and get in sync.
yup conspiracy theories start early LOL i dont like the seclude either.Every team benefits from a bye week regardless of what point in the season it occurs. Of course, contenders like the Cowboys would benefit the most from a late-season bye to refresh and reload before the stretch run. Unfortunately, the NFL pinned Dallas with one of the earliest rest weeks possible in Week 7.
To make matters worse, the Eagles have their bye in Week 10, the Giants wait until Week 13, while the Commanders are a Week 14 bye. All of those sound better than Week 7.
2. Difficult road schedule
While the NFL gave the Cowboys six primetime games, it didn't have the team's best interest at heart when it formulated Dallas' road schedule.
Try wrapping your mind around this, Cowboys Nation: America's Team will play the 49ers, Dolphins, Bills and Chargers all on the road. Of the five non-NFC East teams on the schedule that made the playoffs last season, only one is at home -- the Seahawks in Week 13.
1. Gauntlet from Weeks 12-16
Dallas will play the Seahawks (home), Eagles (home), Bills (road), Dolphins (road), and Lions (home) from Weeks 13-17. The fact Seattle is the easiest matchup in that gauntlet speaks to how difficult it is.
When the sun sets on the 2023 regular season, would anyone be surprised if all five of those teams were in the playoffs? The Eagles and Bills are shoo-ins, and the Dolphins have at least a 10-win roster -- assuming Tua Tagovailoa's health -- after a representative offseason.

While you are, in fact, 100% correct, most of us are here to make up really stupid stuff and then cry about it.
1- if you dont feel you cant beat every team in the league why would you belong in the SB.Every team benefits from a bye week regardless of what point in the season it occurs. Yeah, nevermind that the Giants have a stretch of 7 of 9 games on the road after their opener which has never happened before or that the Eagles play 7 consecutive playoff teams in a row, 8 of 9 to close the season, and 11 of 17 games against playoff teams overall. Nope, the league clearly zeroed in on the Cowboys for dastardly scheduling. Lol.
Daniel Jones though..did you not read the Daniel Jones is great thread on here a while back?
Yeah, the Giants will be all but done by their bye week. Not just 7 road games in 9 weeks, but two separate trips west and a flight to Miami.
The annual schedule gripe thread. Like sands through the hour glass.
Every team has to play the schedule given to it. We play better on the road than we do at home so I’d actually prefer 17 away games. Quit crying and just watch us play.Every team benefits from a bye week regardless of what point in the season it occurs.
