Silliness is your claim that Eli is a great QB because he can "get the ball there enough to give him a chance". Those were your exact words and Weeden can do that. Almost any QB in the league can do that. Eli is obviously better than Weeden, but Eli is a fraction of what you are claiming he is.

Show me a post where I called Eli a "great QB?" I've NEVER in all the discussions I've had on Eli referred to him as a "great QB" so knock off the BS! I just said he's not Aikman who was a great QB. Show me where Brandon Weeden ever gave his receivers a chance to make some plays in a SB? Weeden obviously never gave his receivers enough of a chance to make plays in regular season games which is why Cleveland dumped him and he's carrying a clipboard with the Cowboys. What exactly am I claiming Eli is? I said he's a top 10 QB in todays game and you're claiming I said he's a "great QB" which is FALSE! Sorry but saying Eli will likely go down as the greatest QB in NY Giants history isn't calling him a "great QB." Russell Wilson is already the greatest QB in Seattle Seahawks history due to his back to back SB's and one championship but he's not a "great QB." There's QB's who were the greatest QB in their franchises history but weren't "great QB's."

Saying a QB has built what could end up being a HOF career isn't saying they're "great." If Eli never wins another SB or playoff game and ends up in the HOF I won't consider him a "great QB." There's a few players in the HOF that I don't consider HOF players I certainly wouldn't have voted for them. If Eli leads the Giants to another SB win THEN I would consider him a "great QB" because a QB isn't going to lead a team to 3 SB wins without being a "great QB" at least in my opinion.

Again, I'm not saying Eli is a "great QB' but Brett Favre was a "great QB" and he tossed 29 int's in 2005 and also had 10 fumbles losing 7 of them. Favre is the all-time record holder in int's and he's a first ballot lock for the HOF. Eli had 27 int's in 2007 and despite it led the Giants to a SB win. How he bounced back from the regular season he had I'll never know but I give him credit for it because he showed tremendous resiliency that season. He had one of the worst games I've ever seen a QB have vs Minn in week 12 of that season. He had 4 int's and 3 of them were returned for TD's.

Eli was looking like a bust I've never seen a QB look as bad as he looked and recover from it and end leading their team to a SB win and be named the games MVP. I'm no Eli fan and FANS here can spin whatever crap they want but that dude showed some real GUTS that season. It takes some serious intestinal fortitude to overcome all the turnovers he overcame that season to win a championship. What he did that season is why I don't take him for granted and it's why the Giants are staying with him.
