Williams was traded to the Dallas Cowboys on October 14, 2008 for first, third and sixth round picks in the 2009 NFL Draft (the Cowboys also received a seventh round pick from the Lions in the 2010 draft). He was then signed to a new contract through the 2014 season; Roy Williams agreed to a 6 year, $54 million contract, along with $26 million guaranteed.[3][4] In his first season with the Cowboys, Williams started seven games, caught 19 passes for 198 yards and one touchdown

I thought it was 45 million dollar contract. Smh if this is accurate.

I think the 45 million was the extention of what was already there. He had a deal with so much left on and I believe we added 45 million to that. I could be wrong though.

26 million guaranteed? You'd think he's being paid by the drop. What a HORRIBLE return on investment. Thanks Jerry.

Yeah. I've been patient with him because I envisioned this first down eating machine on slants, posts, crossings, and then the occasional over the top high bomb.

Guess I should have watched some Lions games and not gone off of what I perceived to be the case. This guy is to Romo what Folk has been for the team lately, a deflater.

The main thing is the team is in a better chemistry because they lost clubhouse cancers. Teams take a risk and like darts there are hits & misses, there is time for it to play out. The jury is still out and this team is functioning like a good team now.

I think the problem with Williams is that he doesn't seem that athletic to me for a guy his size and speed. He's basically like a 7 foot stiff in basketball. The only reason he seems to be playing is because he is 6-5 and can run a 4.4 40. He's not really that athletic and his speed is good but not so good that he's uncatchable.

The uncatchable part come in when the ball comes towards him. Other than that, he's great.

lol good point.

Obsession is not just a cologne.

I wonder if spreading it on the butt can stop the hurt.

All I know is that Patrick Crayton in less playing time has just as much production as Roy Williams. There's something wrong with that.

Jerry's money - I don't know why anyone would worry about the money thing. If you want to complain about the picks, then OK, but it is not your money and the Cap is really not an issue IMo.

Buffalo fans have nothing else.

Go away old dude. You take this zone defender thing a little too serious. We are just talking football. I saw something that went against what I usually see on this board and I commented on it. I didn't know he had 26 mil guaranteed.:lmao: That is funny though

Most of this board thought it was a good trade at the time. Sometimes you're right. Sometimes you're wrong. Roy was productive in the 3 games prior to New Orleans. I believe Romo is slowly gaining trust in him. Witten and Austin also dropped some passes in that game, although the timing of Roy's drop was awful. Jerry isn't getting his money's worth yet, but I haven't given up hope.

Whole lot of money for a massive underachiever.

I need to check out his postgame interview to see if he is as quick to point out his own flaws as he is to point out others.

Exactly ..... this thread was started by someone who is an admitted Buffalo fan and would choose them and Owens over Romo and the Cowboys.

I want a Cowboys Bills Super bowl. As long as Romo isn't playing in the game I dont care who wins. I just hate #9 because he is a piece of trash fraud. Sue me

He is just trying to stir something up because the Cowboys had a great game and his team and player flopped.
