Dak's $49 million dollar contract will be the third of the team's salary cap. Dak requires elite talent around him. Now, with that said, there will be no help coming. In fact, Dallas will be losing talent.

Folks, we are looking at two more years of this garbage.....No NFC Championships. No SBs.

Settle in.

Yes, I said in another thread that as long as Jerry is GM, this team is never winning another super bowl.
GM is the most important position on a franchise.
We are competing with teams with outstanding GMs such as the GM of the Egirls.
Meanwhile our GM is chasing endorsements , scheduling concerts, doing radio shows, etc.
But his biggest problem is he just does not have the skills to be a GM.
Proof: 28 years of no NFCCG appearances.

Could be more than 2 years if they restructure Dak's contract to lessen the 2023 cap hit.
IMO from a cap perspective an extension this offseason makes way more sense. He’s already been restructured twice, and a third just causes total chaos on the back end of his deal. But with an extension You can rip up the final 2 years of the previous deal and then bottom out his cap # until 2025, after which you do it all again

That just isn't true. The salary cap will be higher than you expect. More importantly, his deal will be redone/extension.

The Cowboys write all their deals that way now and have for many many years.

But many of you wanted to him signed and sealed.....for 5-6 years.
Now those same people want him gone.
o_O:lmao:o_O
I was for signing him when the Cowboys SHOULD have done it when it was the smart thing to do and made sense.

Instead they kicked the can down the rod as far as possible and then signed him to a very unreasonable deal.

Had they done the smart thing at the time, it would have been so much easier to move on from him.

I think some people would be better off completely boycotting all things cowboys. No watching the games,
no watching shows about them when the topic comes up, no more cowboys sports message boards,

Even if it is just to get away from it a time.

Seriously some just need to get away from it for a bit for their own sanity, and some of ours as well.

$35,000,000.00 vs $40,000,000.00 lol
I've always said don't pay a penny over of $20,000,000.00, and even that's too much.
