In one breath the writer is saying there is a market for Romo and in another saying he will be released not traded. Seems dumb.
That being said, Romo for Aaron Donald it is!
I like the way you think

True enough but, the point was...no picks. Romo is not going to play for a crap team...
Here's a hypothetical:
Tony would go to Houston, they have offered a 5th
49er's come out of nowhere and offers a 2nd
Does the team accomodate Tony and take the 5th rounder from a team he likes or does the team jump on the niners offer?
I say the team shows Tony appreciation and takes the Houston offer.
It would upset me if they took the 5th for Tony's sake. Here's a hypothetical:

All Tony has to do is retire and you can stuff that 1 & 3 while eating all his cap hit. Stick to being a fan.
The Rams weren't a 2 win team. they won 4 games. And yes they did need a QB, badly.Romo liking Hollywood isn't going to cause him to want to end his career on his back playing for a 2-14 team that has no OL. The Cowboys weren't contenders in 2015 because we didn't have a QB but the Rams are more than a QB away. They don't have NEAR the OL the Cowboys have or a security blanket for Romo like a Jason Witten. Goff was supposed to be the most NFL ready QB in last years draft and looks like he may never be ready. His confidence is being destroyed behind the Rams OL. Romo wouldn't survive behind that OL. He's not ending up with the Rams. Going to a bad team would practically guarantee his career ending on a sour note.
Anyone dreaming of a Herschel Walker type trade for a soon to be 37 year old, injury prone QB are living in a complete fantasy world. If we bag a draft pick/player or any type of trade it's going to have to benefit Romo or he won't agree to it and it's going to have to benefit the Cowboys more than spreading $19.6M over 2 years if they release him. What makes trading Romo difficult is he has to agree to it and the compensation has to be worth it which is why the odds favor him being released.
It would upset me if they took the 5th for Tony's sake.
1. Who really knows how good or bad the team will be unless it's Cleveland.
2. Although TR has been a good QB for Dallas, he has been compensated very well for his time here.
3. If you start passing up better deals for the team to suit the individual player who's leaving, what are you telling your team?
4. So are you going to give Witten a "better" team to play for in lieu of better team compensation elsewhere (when a better TE takes Witten's spot)? In other words, where does it end?
If the case presents itself let TR go to the highest bidder. It's the right call as a GM for the future of the team. I think even TR would understand and respect that.
Big Hispanic market in LA, endorsements and Hollywood. Go, get the hell outta dodge Tony.Apparently they are interested in him as well. Consider the source but could be interesting if true. it only takes an extra team to create a trade market.....

And this is almost certainly Tom Condon leaking this stuff so likely with Romo's blessing.
The local sources say yes, Romo likes Hollywood.
The Rams would obviously upgrade the OL regardless.
But it's a team in LA with a new head coach and money to spend in FA.
I agree it is still along shot but calling it CLE is simply incorrect. Which is why no one had leaked CLE as a potential destination.
9ers have a TON of cap space.Apparently they are interested in him as well. Consider the source but could be interesting if true. it only takes an extra team to create a trade market.....

They SHOULD take the 49ers offer. Here's a hypothetical:

Jerry take the 2.Here's a hypothetical:

Oh, I totally agree....I was basing my post off of Jerry's love of some players he struggles to let go ofThey SHOULD take the 49ers offer.
He may not can nix it but if they knew he wasn't going to show up, they sure wouldn't make the tradeDoes anyone actually think Tony wouldn't nix a trade to a crappy team?
But you tried to make it seem worse if he retires. The net result is the same for the "just cut" him crowd.
