True that their depth was an issue due to top heavy roster.
Other than OBJ, I don't really think they did through it Free Agency "mercenaries" though.

Trades? yes

years ago the Ramsey trade
Stafford trade
Miller trade
I basically meant players brought in outside of LA, but yeah you’re correct.

How many teams have losing records because they played the 49ers? Did they have losing records at the time they played them? What does any of this have to do with the Cowboys? Do we think they are not ready for the playoffs finally? They have as good a chance as anyone and are fairly healthy.
Look at the teams. Most didn't need 49ers help. Putrid schedule.

They are doing this with patchwork at QB. Their starter went down early. They went to last year's QB who they deemed not good enough to start this year. Then they lost him and went with Mr. Irrelevant and they continue to play the way they have.

They only beat 3 or 4 teams with winning records last year so not a whole lot different than this year. And they still came in and beat us.

This is why we should "fear" (whatever that means) the 49ers. They are everything we are not. They can exploit our vulnerabilities. They typically play smart, whereas we can tend to play dumb. They can run the ball, we aren't the best at stopping the run. They can stop the run, which many here will claim we need to do to make Dak and the passing offense way more efficient. They can rush the passer. They are typically very physical on both sides of the ball, that at times, gives us problems.

Can we beat them? Absolutely. But in reality, they are just a bad matchup for us.
Very real honest take. Good job.

Brock Purdy didn’t play against the Chiefs. It’s weird that despite their consistency they’ve somehow managed the same record as Dallas against a much easier schedule. I guess it’s easy if you just ignore the times they weren’t consistent
When we beat "easy" teams.....many people will say "it's their super bowl so the played harder".

Do the niners get that consideration?

We played easy teams and got beat....or near beat.

I'd rather overestimate them than underestimate them. We did that last year and they came out and kicked us in the ding ding and then stomped on our necks.
And did the same to the guy that owns us the following week beating the 1 seeded Packers. One missed int from going to the SuperBowl in the Rams game. People can make excuses but if we’re being honest we’re the reason the Packers have a shot at the playoffs. If we beat them in the regular season they’re not in the playoff picture and we wouldn’t have to worry about playing them. The 49ers have the Packers number and have a better Bosa (full season removed from ACL recovery) and a better Defense than they had last year. All teams have weaknesses but consistency is a real thing. People can say what they want, but the 49ers are well balanced on both sides of the ball and do the same thing for the most part. The Cowboys are the opposite, you can get the team that beat up the Vikings in Minnesota or you can get the team that played the 4Qt and OT against the packers and what’s really scary is you can get it in the same game.

Great point!

The Bears Broncos Falcons
Vs the Jags Packers and Bucs

So the Cowboys lost to four playoff teams.
The Niners lost to one playoff team.

I love how little you guys know about the NFL

I don't claim to be an NFL expert with my own NFL lombardi winning team...like you.

I simply made an observation about what people say.

I made no comment about what I think.

Carry on.

Sure you did. You claimed that Dallas was beat by easy teams. Good chance all of their losses are to playoff teams. The Niners have lost to a number of tomato cans

As of this week, the 49ers could secure the #1 seed in the final week of the season with a win over the lowly Cardinals and a loss by the Eagles. But as good as everyone seems to believe their defense is, and as surprising as rookie QB Brock Purdy has been, have the 49ers actually been tested this season?

In their only game against another top NFL team, they got blown out by 21 points against the Chiefs, who beat them 44-23. In their other game against a winning team, they beat wildcard playoff team the LA Chargers by a mere 6 points, 22-16, while playing at home.

With a 1-1 record against winning teams, and a -15 point differential in those two games, is it really wise to be scared of playing the 49ers?
Would love to see that happen, too many peeps in fear of McCaffrey addition, lol.

Nope. I said that's what people said.

Let's try to stick to the point. Did people say Texans game was their super bowl?
Yes or no will do.

No clue. But you said we played easy teams and got beat. Verbatim. It’s literally right above this post.

Playoffs have yet to start and seedings/match-ups not decided yet desperate fans are already belittling teams that Dallas may or may not play......for what reason? Hypothetically if Dallas plays SF in the playoffs and gets beat then you look foolish for belittling SF and it makes Dallas look pathetic to lose to a supposed 'weak' team.

Just stop already.

Most sports talk radio by me has 5 teams going to the SB. It's either Philly, 49ers, KC, Cinci, or Buffalo. The Cowboys are mentioned but not taken seriously. It's because of how they've been playing. But at least they are the only other team taken somewhat seriously.
