Brock Purdy didn’t play against the Chiefs. It’s weird that despite their consistency they’ve somehow managed the same record as Dallas against a much easier schedule. I guess it’s easy if you just ignore the times they weren’t consistentThe 49ers show up every week with consistency.
They did stomp the BUCS 35 to 7. A team Dallas has lost to the last two times they have played.
They dominated Dallas last year in the playoffs game and Brock Purdy put up 23 points against the Chiefs and sure appears to be an upgrade over Jimmy G. Dak put up 9 points against the Chiefs last year. There are plenty of good reasons why Dallas should be the underdog in a 49ers matchup. Dallas needs to build momentum and confidence to have a chance to beat the 49ers. And a win against the BUCS and Eagles would help a lot.
Thank goodness that crap is long gone. It’s 2023.
As of this week, the 49ers could secure the #1 seed in the final week of the season with a win over the lowly Cardinals and a loss by the Eagles. But as good as everyone seems to believe their defense is, and as surprising as rookie QB Brock Purdy has been, have the 49ers actually been tested this season?
In their only game against another top NFL team, they got blown out by 21 points against the Chiefs, who beat them 44-23. In their other game against a winning team, they beat wildcard playoff team the LA Chargers by a mere 6 points, 22-16, while playing at home.
With a 1-1 record against winning teams, and a -15 point differential in those two games, is it really wise to be scared of playing the 49ers?
I remember a similar brain dead post last year before the 49ers curb stomped us.
9 game win streak and the best defense in football. DO NOT insult the knowledge/greatness of calpolystate.....are you mad?!? ;0)WOW you call a six point victory, with Dallas running out of time a curb stomping? You guys and your revisionist history.
And Jeff Davis freed the slaves I guess
this isnt a good way to evaluate any team. And if you do, then look at the teams record when game was actually played, not end of season records. They’ve played 4 games against teams that are currently 8-8, Bucs, Dolphins and twice against the Seahawks.
In addition to the 6 winning teams the Cowboys have played, winning 5 of the 6, the Cowboys have also played 4 games against teams with 8-8 records: the Jags, Bucs, Lions and Packers.
Rams got decimated right from the start.
I think I saw they have played 14 offensive linemen this year....plus Cooper Kupp and Stafford...plus they lost Von Miller and OBJ from last year.
A shell of themselves. Ugly stuff
Seattle has been better than expected. I'd say they are about like the Giants
NFCE better for sure
True that their depth was an issue due to top heavy roster. To be fair, they built the SB team using free agent mercenaries. Obviously I’d take a SB win in a heartbeat even if it meant being terrible the next season, but that’s the risk you take when you go top-heavy.
