#1 Marcus Peters CB, Washington. I believe he falls to us. Waynes cemented himself as the top CB, and I could see another guy leapfrogging Peters as well at the CB position. Would likley be the first CB off the board if not for getting kicked off the team. Likley our #2 CB opposite Scandrick. Might be our #3 if we retain Carr.

#2. Markus Golden, DE Missouri. Golden IMO is close to as good as any DE we would get at 27. Good all around LDE who will land at this spot because he is not likely a 10 sack guy and had a so so combine. Great effort guy who will fight his way to the QB.

#3. Mike Davis, HB South Carolina. This is a bit optimistic but in a deep class I think he could fall here. Id like to get one earlier, but I think Coleman, Abdullah and Ajayi are all gone by our 2nd round pick, and I like Golden much better then Yeldon. Davis has the ability to come in and be a workhorse day 1.

#4. Ali Marpet, OG Hobart. The buzz guy now, but due to him being a division III guy and probably not ready to be a starter this season, I think he is an early day 3 guy. Atjletic Athletic specimen can take over for Leary in 2015.

#5. Jamison Cowder, WR Duke. Replaces Harris this season. Gives you a chance to replace Beasley in 2016

I like it as long as we pick up starters at DE and DT in FA

CB is just so hard to evaluate for this team. They played a very high amount of zone in 2013 and the first 10-12 games in 2014, but switched it up to a mostly man scheme the last 4 games and did a lot better job. We just dont know if Marinelli will go back to the zone or stick with the man coverage. If its zone, I don't like Peters as a fit very much. He is my top man coverage CB in the draft and if the team was to play a man coverage scheme as the go to I like that pick.

For your 2nd and 3rd round picks I would try for Ajayi or Coleman in the 2nd and look at Lorenzo Mauldin in the 3rd if hes there.

I like the 4th and 5th rd picks but I think Ali Marpet may be gone before even our 3rd rd pick. Overall I wouldn't be overly upset with this. Probably a B- or C+ for me

I like Peters at 27 only in an all-out, worse case scenario. Everyone gone, no one wants to trade up.

Do not like Golden. At all.

Not a Davis fan either. Seems like there are a lot of middle round RB's available and Davis is on the bottom end of those guys for me.

Marpet is intriguing.

Big Jamison Crowder fan.

Love the marcus peters pick. Little worried about his of field issues but I think he will be a killer corner

I'd have to see who else was there at 27. There's some risk with Peters...as you know. Talented player though.
I'm not sure I'd take Golden in the 3rd...or maybe even the 4th...let alone the 2nd.
You should have no worries about Davis still being there in the 3rd, if he's who you want.
Marpet in the 4th works
Crowder in the 5th, if he's still available, is ok too.

I dont see either of those backs being available with our 2nd, which in reality is close to a 3rd round pick. Same with our 3rd, which close to a 4th

Golden is a bit polarizing. I think he is a very good addition in DL that favors rotation, especially one that emphasis motor. Wont ever be an all pro, but he will be able to do whatever the coachs ask of him

i dont know about peters, broaddus says he is not a willing tackler and i really dont want to continue the tradition of drafting first rd CBs who dont want to tackle.

I hope we build the trenches. DL or OL with the 1st pick (ideally a pass rushing DE). I do agree we need to draft a couple of CB prospects though (or get lucky with udfa CB). I can't wait for the draft to get here.

That is the question concerning the CBs.

If Rod really would rather play Zone, would he really want to draft another (Carr) man type corner?

I think he would rather have a zone cornerback if they are going to draft one in first few rounds vs a man guy.

Ok I am now aware of Mike Davis.. Been looking at RB's all morning on youtube.. This is the guy I want.

The Compact build, the quick feet, power, speed, can catch... That guy will be a productive player at the next level guaranteed.

I kind of like it, but Golden would be my issue in this mock.

I like Mike Davis. He's built similar to Emmitt at 5-9, 217. He had a good ten yard time and 3-cone.

Marpet has received a lot of hype, but I still think he is probably a 4th rounder and a good developmental player. You probably meant 2016 in terms of taking over for Leary.

Can Crowder be a Kick returner in the NFL or is he limited to punt returns at his size. He's not overly fast despite being very small. It would be a bit of a strain on the 46 man game day roster to have him and Beasley active.

Of the mid round RBs he's my favorite. He runs though contact better than several of the other mid round RBs. He had a good 10 yard time and 3-cone so the 4.6 forty is not really an issue for me. He will need work on pass pro, but that an issue for man of the RBs.

Yeah its hard to find a Rookie RB that doesn't need pass pro help.. I'd be shocked if he doesn't develop that skill.

I don't worry about the 4.6 40 at all. He clearly has speed, a nose for the endzone, and he finishes runs.

Getting this player any later then the 2nd round is an absolute steal.

You got that from youtube?

I do think he's good and have watched him plenty over the years. But don't be surprised if he's there in the late 3rd and maybe even mid-late 4th.
