We get a lot of stupid penalties that back the offense up. Then it's Dak's total fear of letting it rip INTO the endzone. Gotta stop with passes to the 2-3 yd line. Throw it OVER the darn goal line. Whats the point of completing 2 passes in goal to go situations, and STILL settling for a FG.

They have always been good from the 20 to the 20 but can never punch it in. We can only hope and pray the coaches recognize this (very hard not to) and develop strategy around this hurdle or else we’ll be back to square one.

No, should have kept Zeke. It was his 1 and 2 yard scores as well he was that threat. It was not Moore.
If I recall he wasn’t looking for much money right? Didn’t keep up with the story much because I didn’t care if we kept him or not, but I agree we should have kept him if he just wanted a couple bucks. He knew he wouldn’t likely play anywhere else and by miracle the pats picked him up.

we've converted every short opportunity. Zeke was scoring from the 1 yard line. We can do that just fine.

We’re clearly feeling the loss of Zeke in Dalton Schultz in the redzone. They combined for 17 TDs last season. Say what you will about Zeke but he always managed to push the pile falling forward for a yard or two in a critical situation. This is why he scored a lot of TDs last season. Schultz was very good at finding gaps in the endzone. He had 13 TDs his last two seasons with the Cowboys. We’re missing their TDs.

They are not missing Zeke.

The biggest change is the guy calling the plays. Not a washed up TB and mabe not a decent but not elite TE.

I do believe they’re missing Zeke in the redzone. He scored 12 TDs last season and most of them came in the redzone. Moving on from Zeke and Schultz has cost us TDs in the redzone.

I have not rewatched the games to see but it seems to me team are pinching the D-line and dropping into full zone when we are at the 10, need to attack the edges and that includes using Dak's legs...Bunch set rubs, pitch outs PA WR screens just off the top of my head.

We had the #1 red zone offense last year, but y’all wanted Moore gone.

You reap what you sow.
And the reason Moore is gone has reared its head in LA, situational awareness.

In both the Miami and Tennessee losses there was questionable play calling, especially Tennessee. I saw a breakdown on NFL live plus there are YouTube videos also in the OT loss. Typical Moore, three and out on three passes. The Chargers looked unprepared and disorganized.

Not as unprepared and disorganized as the Cowboys.

Dallas supposedly did not make him an offer with a reduced pay. And he probably did not give them a number either. So we have no idea what he was looking for to stay. Maybe it wil come out eventually if there was any talk of money.

It was time to move on from the huge contract and salary cap hit. But I still say they miss him as for now. Maybe they will get it figured out.
However, they are missing a big WR / TE end zone threat more so than Zeke.

Under a different OC and scheme. You can't really just assume that if he was here, he'd be part of the solution because it's not an apples to oranges comparison. Further, if you look at the Cards game, Zeke's impact given most of the goal to go situations were starting around the 9-10 yard line, would have been mitigated.

The OC is a bigger factor here than a TB.
