6 Cowboys players who could surprise people this season

One thing is for certain - with so many new and young players being called on to play this year, we are going to have a ton of surprises.

I've said it a few times, I think out of the gate this team is going to struggle but by mid season they will begin to come together and by Dec they will be a team that has a bad record but is playing strong.

Unfortunately the way the schedule lines up they are going to have a really hard backfhalf so not likely the catch up if they indeed have a slow start
Yeah we're missing the playoffs and getting out 10-15 draft pick.

There are a handful of players on the Cowboys who could shock people this season.

When training camp rolls around later this summer, the time will come for everyone to have their “favorite” players. For the Dallas Cowboys, many players could make the lists. From rookie draft picks and new outside acquisitions to veterans looking to make some noise, soon there will be buzz about certain players. Before those players are revealed, let’s get an early jump on some potential names we start hearing more about. Here are six players to buy stock in before they rise.

RT Terence Steele

Steele is everyone’s favorite player to hate. Since returning from his bad knee injury at the end of the 2022 season, he just hasn’t been the same player. Prior to that, he was on the up and up and was looking at Pro Bowl level. With another year removed from injury, the new offensive line coaches, and some added muscle next to him, we could see Steele return to form in 2025.

Is this the same slop-slinging jerry jones worshipping homer that wrote the "Cowboys offense is scientifically about to explode" and then listed the "All Pro play of Jake Ferguson (hehehe) as one of the chief cornerstones of the "irrefutable logic" behind that statement?

It’s mostly about how ridiculous people are when they get drunk.
Dude - you are my brother from another mother!!!

Yes it gets sporty when they get plastered....I have gotten into the scotch a few times too but I really try to be nice and non emotional...I don't do social media and love this place....you are a good one buddy - rock on

Brevyn Spann-Ford....... we need a short name for him, Fish mentions him a lot and says he is looking good. I guess Ford will do.
He is really big, good blocker, and if he can now run routes and catch, he could be a difference maker.
All of the guys mentioned could be, wont know till PS, and then Reg season.

Pickens? He’s expected to do well. He’s been a good player during his career. A career year playing with a better QB than he’s had won’t be a surprise.
He will show out for a contract and be an absolute monster. Who knows after that

Yea ..... really do not get what a really good WR is doing on this list.
Because he will turn from good to great and will absolutely show out. Surprise to some because of the rumored attitude issues

If he plays great it won’t be a surprise to anyone. Everyone is expecting him to look real good. A surprise would be if he doesn’t play well. It may take a 1000 yard season for him to be re-signed. His production and behavior will determine his future with the team.

Steele, Beebe, Spann-Ford, Sanborn, Elam, Clark
For this that are link click adverse. :muttley:

Clark being an UDFA, but read some good things. But also look at Barron at LB.
Both of these players have a chance to sneak onto the 53 until injured players are ready to return.

Spann-Ford seems like he might be heavily involved.

A career year would be 1k yards and 10 TDS imo, which would be a surprise considering his highest number of TD's in a season is 5.

Pickens put up 1140 yards in 2023 with 5 TDs playing with Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph, and Mitch Trubisky. You couldn’t ask for a much worse QB situation than that. Pittsburgh had no stability at all at QB. He also averaged over 18 yards catch that season. Even last season he put up 900 yards playing with a washed up Russell Wilson, and Justin Fields. Dak is way ahead of those QBs, regardless what some of the Looney Tunes on this board will tell you. Pickens putting up 1000 yards and 10 TDs wouldn’t be a surprise. Heck, Jalen Tolbert led the team with 7 TD catches last season playing most of the season with Cooper Rush. It’s obvious you either don’t think much of Pickens or haven’t seen him play.
