From making the correct calls (blocking scheme) for the Oline at the line of scrimmage before each play, down to shotgun snaps, to run blocking and pass protection, backup Center, #67 Brock Hoffman, has done an admirable job the past 2 weeks substituting for starter Cooper Beebe while recovering from injury.

Vs the Jets

Vs the Packers

Let's hope Brock Hoffman keeps it up tomorrow vs the Panthers while Beebe starts recovering from rehab and keeps getting closer to returning to his starting Center role. It's great to have a very good starting and backup Center for this explosive Cowboys offense.

He was penciled in to be the starting RG until they drafted Booker.

Maybe Hoffman is better than Beebe. Then what do you do? If the team is doing well (better?) with Hoffman, then I stay with the hot hand. Yes, players do lose their jobs to injuries. Bret Favre got his chance when the QB in front of him got hurt. Favre said he learned from that to do your best to never come out of a game.

Two good players at one position. Not a bad problem to have.

On the flip side, is this Hoffman's last year with the Cowboys? If Hoffman is a free agent, he is going to get a big contract from someone if he continues to play this well.

If so, the Cowboys would likely get a 3rd or 4th round comp pick for him.

Yes, Hoffman is only under contract for this 2025 season. Jerry should try to extend him right now while he can before Hoffman's price keeps increasing. I would rather keep Hoffman, than lose him, especially since he can play both Center and Guard.

If I were Hoffman's agent, I would tell him to keep playing well and not sign now. Hoffman is looking at $15M/yr if he is a starting caliber center.

You and me have been pounding the Hoffman table for years. I’m still baffled by spending a top pick on yet another OG when the Hoff-Man was in this roster. Dude is nasty.

Brock Hoffman is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this coming off-season.

As an undrafted college free agent, Dallas would receive no compensation, but have the right to match the offer, if Hoffman was tendered at original entry level and he agreed to terms with another team.

Most likely, I expect the Cowboys will tender the Hoff at the 2nd round level (est $5.658M). Any team that wanted to sign Hoffman wold have to posses and surrender their 2nd round pick in the 2026 draft if Dallas elected to not match the signed offer.

Hoffman will probably play the '26 season on a RFA tender and then hit unrestricted free agency in 2027.

If an outside offer was extended and not matched, possibly from someone selecting towards the bottom of round 2, the Cowboys could begin next year's draft with 2 first rounders, 2 second rounders and a third rounder.
