I think tonight's game is the sort of effort that will open the door for Michael to get his shot.

Randle was OK. Not terrible, but certainly not Murray. His best plays were pass receptions.

.. and Dunbar had 70 yards receiving ..
.. and Randle had 42 yards receiving ..
.. and McFadden had 19 yards receiving ..

There is more than one way to get the ball to a running back ..

BAM!! Nuff said....

How many times did we pass in this game? I hate it.... I hate the offensive game plan.

Tony Romo is out there trying to make tackles!! Getting popped way to often....

I hate it!! This is not the team I want to see this year..

Man I hope that Christine kid can play. And we go back to running the ball.

WTH are you talking about man. We had a very balanced offense. The 4th quarter called for us to pass the ball because we were behind. You act like the game plan was pass heavy throughout the game and that was not the case until we had to abandon the run and it worked.

Our short passing game to RBs and TE's made up for some of that. I love Beas but that Fumble was a dang Killer

That's got to improve. 3.5 yards per carry. Not good enough.

I am not making any guesses as to the outcome being more comfortable but for one game, it's clear Murray was a big factor in our run game and you can't ham and egg it with what we got.

Note, I was all for letting Murray walk so don't count me as one of those screaming to resign him.

Been saying this all along. Now we are in the thick of it and the results will begin to bolster my stance. We can only hope that they will activate Christine Michael and begin to work him in asap. We cannot revert to the high pass low run offense of yesteryear. While Romo is supernatural, it's unfair to assume that we can just ride his arm to 10 plus wins. We need balance. That's what got us to 12-4 last year and we need to rediscover it this week. Great win though.

with all due respect. We have to pass the ball to do that; It works. But at what cost?

It's so painfully obvious.

People want 300 yards passing and a buck 50 rushing every week.

Be realistic people.

If we're playing from behind, naturally, our run attempts and yards will go down.

Learn some football and quit posting dumb stuff.

Yeah it's dumb to not have been excited about the run game tonight.

The occasional drop? Romo's arm slightly more sore from having to throw one more pass? Not sure what you're getting at.

I don't think it's the run attempts that concerns people...I think it's the 3.5 YPC..also the heavy dose of Randle over McFadden seems a little odd..

That wasn't a running game with swagger like it had with Murray..

Hurry up Christine Michael...learn this playbook. We need you.

Me too. It's time to get a PHYSICAL presence running behind this stellar Oline. SLide Collins in for LEary and let Ron heal up. Saddle UP with CM and see what he can do. Tonight was brutal, despite the win.

Really annoyed with the under utilization. Especially on the goal line. We didn't run the ball and therefore we didn't cash in. What's worse is we went empty backfield so many times in the redzone.

Game plan was just putrid on offense,

Game Paln is horrible. 1st and goal, with THIS offensive line. And we pass the ball?

Yeah, we scored. But Romo took a shot.....

You know, the guy we cant be without....

Yeah it's dumb to not have been excited about the run game tonight.

Hey if we go up 14-3 like it should've been then we wouldve pounded them.

Instead we played sloppy sloppy football and started passing.

With all that said... Randle was one of our best guys tonight.

He also scored me 13 fantasy points without a td.

It's been my fear about life without Murray all along. I totally get you can't pay everyone, and I DO understand the decision not to overpay a injury-prone running back coming off a 400-carry season.

But even if the decision is sound on that basis, it doesn't diminish the fact last year's running back is no longer here. And last year's running back was damn good.

The line is great, and we saw the openings all night. But Murray is an upper-tier running back who could finish off runs like only upper-tier runners could. Sure, he doesn't have the second level some super-elite backs have, but he was phenomenal at breaking through tackles, using his arms to shield off defenders and wear down an opponent.

Tonight's runners don't do that. Michael? Maybe, but that's a pretty if at this point. I'm confident we can be a quality running team even without Murray, but nothing close to the level of what we saw last year.
