Ill be honest. Im not sure what the stats look like. But it seemed like we saw Romo passing the ball early, and often. The run game wasnt even a factor.

1st and goal, ball on the 2. With this offensive line! The strength of the team. And we pass the ball.................... ?

Pretty sure the passing numbers will be heavily inflated by the last 2 drives in mustpass situations. If the Cowboys are ahead, you probably at worst see 50-50 and probably 40-60 Pass to run. That added at least 10 attempts to Romos ledger that probably aren't there if the WRs would have held on to the freaking ball.

Why did we play empty backfield so much not complaining about a win it just seemed like their was no rhythm.

The like to use Dunbar as a receiver because the defense uses base personnel in case Dunbar lines up at RB.

In the first three quarters tonight, Randle and McFadden had 21 carries. Last year, Murray averaged 19 carries in the first three quarters, and Randle averaged 2.

We ran just as much in the first three quarters as we did last year. The difference tonight was being down by 10 and needing to pass instead of being able to run out the clock.

That is pure gold.

We were behind nearly all game. You don't run the ball when you're behind. If we'd been up by multiple scores like we should have been, we'd have racked up a ton of yards on the ground.

True, but that will be the iggles game plan next week too...damn

I said during the game thread. Randle is serviceable but he just doesn't have that it factor. hes not that guy at RB

I thought Mcfadden had more burst and looked explosive when he ran. you could see the difference between the 2

all Ii can hope is the coaching staff will see this, use it as a audition tape and realize Mcfadden needs to now get his shot at extended work

Running game was fine until the turnovers started and Leary went out

Bring Michael in. Looks like Lael may get time next game too. It's going to be a tough one against Philly.

Can't wait to see Christine. Dunbar or McFadden in 3 receiver sets.

well, savor it tonight. Because if we play like that in the coming games, I am guessing winning wont be as "easy" as it was tonight.

I'm not sure that you're clear on the definition of easy. Just for reference, tonight would be the opposite.

Am I crazy or am I the only one who thought Randle looked pretty good out there?

He had one really bad run where he was stutter stepping waiting on the hole with no one near him. Missed some bigger runs if he could have broken arm tackles. Great catch though.

To me, that's the thing -- he was solid, and actually very good in the passing game. But it was much, much different from what we saw a year ago.

We're going to have to find other ways to create that lost production, and I think tonight offered a glimpse into how we plan to address the missing yardage in the ground game.

I find all the McFadden love and Randle hate a little strange. Maybe it's people seeing what they want to see, maybe it's that McFadden looks the part, maybe it's that McFadden's first run went for 8 yards. After that, though, he rushed for 3, 3, 3, 1, and -2, finishing 6 for 16. Randle had the fumble and didn't light the world on fire, but at least he averaged 4 yards per carry and had zero negative runs. Plus the three catches for 42 yards.

Look at our first TD drive.
Two Randle rushes put us in 3rd and 1, which he converted by catching a pass for 25.
Then he caught another one for 11 yards and another first.
Then he ran for 5 on first down.
Then, after we converted that one, he ran for 5 on the NEXT first down.

I'll admit my bias against McFadden. He's never stayed healthy and has been extremely unproductive the last three years (albeit behind a poor line). But I see a lot of people here saying how good he looked running. Me, I'll be impressed when there's actually production there.
