HUGE game. Might be biggest all season because it will set a tone for the rest of the year. We better come out with blood in our eye after this disgrace today.

I believe we will. Hope so anyway. Will Dak show last seasons poise?! Until he does, nothing else matters

Talk about a brutal wake up call. Team that swaggered into this season after going 13-3 and a 11 game winning streak just got punched in the mouth.

We'll see how they respond next week vs. the Cardinals.
Good. Get this OL focused. This D needs to get back to basics. Dez needs to be relegated quickly. Coaches need to pare down the play-call sheet and let's get down to business.

Teams tried it all last year, and literally only three teams had any semblance of success. Almost nobody has the DBs to successfully do this.

I honestly can't believe the nonsense I'm reading. It's like nobody here knows anything about football. This was tried ALL LAST YEAR. The Baltimore Ravens stacked the box all game and we KILLED their secondary.
Yep,
I am currently having this very same discussion with a friend of mine who is currently overseas.
I echo your sentiments. This ain't a new concept. We faced it ALL last year. NYG crept Collins up last week and singled Fez with jackrabbit and DRC singled up on Be as on the other side.
8 and 9 man fronts are not new to this staff.

We defeat them consistently with execution.

I do not know what happened out there today. That defense is not what I would call a suffocating swarming run stopping juggernaut.

I thought they were too light in the *** to handle us actually.

I am really really confused by our offense today.

Really, i didnt see alot vanMiller until the game was over and they gave him his sack before he started crying.

There's more to Von Miller than "stats". He was getting pressures in that backfield a lot. Dak didn't have a clean pocket all game long and he made Collins work for everything.

I didn't think Collins was that bad........he gave up towards the end like the rest of the team around him.

He wasn't "bad" at all. He held Miller in check until the game was totally out of hand. And even then, Miller was jumping offsides left and right selling out for a sack. And those he got were coverage sacks, not "beating" Collins outright.

On any list of worries, Collins name is waaaaaaayyyyy down that list.

True, but we'll see how Collins plays from here on out He was horrific today but in fairness to him, Miller does that to a lot of guys. Collins still looks like a Guard to me...he just does.

If this continues, they'll have to consider moving Green back to RT and putting Collins back at guard. Might be best lineup in the long run anyway. NOT hitting panic button after one miserable game, but after seeing Collins struggle with JPP at times and getting owned today...it's a concern.

This is one of the worst attempts to analyze a player that I've seen.

For about 3 quarters Collins shut down Miller with no sacks and no tackles. Then they had to pass on every down which gave Miller a huge advantage.

Miller probably would have rested more in a blowout but kept playying all the snaps in order to finally get his sacks.

You gotta have the personnel to get away with that........not many have a Von Miller and a secondary like that.
Cardinals have a good Dline and some pro bowlers in the secondary. We saw what dkemidiche did to our backups in the pre season.

get used to it folks. This is what we will see from here out until the team proves it can beat it

unless we can figure out a way to pass out of it...... Denver has really good corners and they singled our WRs and took them out of the game, which allowed them to put 8 or 9 in the box..... not every team is going to be able to that.... and that's why Garrett was criticizing his QB...he needs to take shots down field and get the 9th man out of the box. you keep going safe and they will bunch up the middle. sometimes its not about making a play, but the threat of the play that will force defenses to be honest and if he takes a deep shot on a 3rd down and throws an Int, its almost as good as a punt...

however, it wasn't just offensive play (which was offensive), but defense sucked. no adjustments, no tackling, got pushed around and couldn't stop the crossing routes.

Oh my God thank you for this. It's like nobody watched last year at all. The " blueprint" was harped on week after week since the first Giants game. It's the same garbage as now Dak has a real test, no wait this is the true test, actually no now he will prove himself. Every opponent tried it last year. The team just didn't work around at this time.

I'll say it fifty times.

Does the offense we ran yesterday look anything like the offense we ran last year? no. the 2015 offense? yes. As in Linehans base offense. Last year we forced teams to cover the whole field and there was no guessing what was coming next. We had balance. Until we install last years offense, we will struggle.
No counters, no sweeps, screens, no roll outs, how about the jet, we have a better player than Lucky, We flashed a couple of those things yesterday but you could tell we hadn't practiced it. Sorry Scott, dink and dunk does not replace the run. You could have helped your young RT just by rolling his way.....egos....blah.

Really, i didnt see alot vanMiller until the game was over and they gave him his sack before he started crying.

And his sacks only came because 1) Dak had to hold the ball on the first one and 2) Dak was moving to his right, which allowed Miller to come off a good block to get him on the second sack.

Not all sacks happen because the OL gets beat.

Every team doesn't have an elite level defense

Arizona will try it. Another place are offense hasn't been good at, Khalid

Bad in 2008 and a horrible game in preseason 2013.

It concerns me because we do face a better caliber of opponents this year. We've got to make teams pay in the passing game when they stack the line like that. Instead, Denver challenged Dak to beat and the receivers to beat him and they couldn't.

I don't know how many other defenses can pull that off, but we need to have a better plan of attack against the ones who can if we're going to make any noise.

The Broncos knew they had to stop the run, which they did, but I didn’t see any extra help in the box to do so. Maybe the film will show different, but it appeared that the Broncos front seven physically took it to this Cowboys offensive line, which doesn’t happen often
