You're misinterpreting what she's laughing at in your rush to jump to a conclusion. At least I think you were. I read it as her laughing at your gross overstatement of what's really been made a matter of public record in this case.

Nothing of this nature, but I've heard stories from local scouts, including Broaddus, that said OSU coaches grew rather tired of his act. Just general attitude and odd behavior, but nothing sinister. That's why he went in the 5th round instead of the 3rd or 4th, according to them.

If he was Marshawn Lynch, you tolerate it. But he's just an average NFL backup, so why mess with it?

Interesting. I remember Gundy speaking highly of Randle and the huge shoes that Desmon Roland and Jeremy Smith had to fill once Randle declared for the draft. Going to school at OSU, I never heard or read anything like that. The local media, radio programs, message boards, ect, we're all lamenting the fact that he was gone. There could have been trouble brewing behind the scenes, but things tend to get out like with the Justin Blackmon, Dez Bryant and Bobby Reid/Zac Robinson drama.

I can gladly apologize for any misinterpretation I have done but I would need that case be made first. I fail to see my "rush to a conclusion' when my statement was based solely on court records. RJ has just has much access to the courts to file legal papers as his baby's Mama does, if there are no court records in his favor then that is his fault.

I'm kind of tired of reading the "cut this idiot" rhetoric. He hasn't been charged with anything and nobody knows what really happened. He wasn't arrested. He hasn't been convicted of anything. As of now, this is an argument and an accusation, that's pretty much it.

I thought they should have gotten rid of him after seeing the video tape of him at the police station,after his arrest on shoplifting.He's not good enough to put up with that kind of stupidity.Let that loser be somebody else's problem.

This is where we differ. I care about the truth. The underwear incident was enough to label Randle a knucklehead, of sorts. I haven't veered too far from that opinion. But in this situation, I'm side-eyeing the woman, too. I mean, what self-respecting mother takes her child out at 3am just so she can go argue with her boyfriend, ex, or otherwise. Big fail in my eyes.

The only innocent is the child. And these two need to get it together, because as long as that child is living, they are tied to one another.

OMG, preach girl! I agree with you. I wish these two could just put their petty differences aside and think about what's best for this innocent child. You are right about them both having dirty hands but the Cowboys can't release the baby's Mama and be done with the matter. Even if Randle was released, I'd being praying for that child.

Sounds like there were more witnesses on the scene than originally reported. Article author infers that caller was the friend to Randle's ex (protects baby from shattered glass). But the caller's transcript indicates a 3rd woman since she is speaking of Randle's baby mama as well as this "other female" that Randle pointed a gun at.

In any event, it does not sound good for Randle, regardless of whether caller tried to wave off cops after first call.

If he has been giving her money and she didn't pursue anything legally, then why should he see it as a problem?

We don't really know many true facts in this case. All we really know is:
He has a kid or kids with this woman.
She was at his Hotel room and then the cops were called.
He was not taken to jail.

Everything else is speculation.

Any time there is news of a player in connection with anything illegal or otherwise negative, there are those that just want to cut ties immediately - especially if they're not seen as an integral part of the team's success (which really shouldn't matter). For some reason, we want a team full of Roger Staubach's and Russell Wilson's. That would be nice, but it's completely unrealistic. So many of these guys come from bad backgrounds, worse than many of us can even really imagine. It's hard to cut yourself off from that. Maybe the player is a degenerate himself, but trying to grow up. It doesn't just happen overnight. Every team has players that engage in risky behavior or hand out with "the wrong crowd".

Trust me, I already think Randle is dope from the ridiculous episode before but this is not grounds to release him. Show me Williams is electric in training camp, show me that Murray is resigned or Peterson is on this team and the rookie running back looks good in TC.....then we can talk about releasing Randle.
