Ahem. Which GM?

One must take into account the credentials of the GM and how much work he puts into the job. Do many on here know more than a GM who doesn't even bother to watch tape? Quite a bit, actually.

It's actually been shown many times that players often know very little aside from the details of their position.

Coaches? I agree with you. The other two categories should not be mentioned in the same sentence.
So you're telling me you'd listen to the evaluation of a fan or troll on this board and believe their experience evaluating professional talent over professional current and former players and GMs???

That's really amazing that your mind works that way.

Define “elevate”

I mean, there are miles of difference between “bus driver” and epic all-time WB performances on any given week.

Did you see the last playoffs game against 49ers?
Moving the goal post ? And Yes I saw the playoff game (I never miss a game, especially playoffs) The question was , om that play where Alvin Harper Broke SF's back, do I think Dak could make that throw.

My answer was , is and will always be YES !!!!! Harper's run is what made that a great play

It’s crazy that we’re talking about Alvin Harper.

A testament to the time capsule that is the Cowboy Zone.

It’s like time stopped after our last Super Bowl and a large number of our “fans” never watched the NFL after the “glory days”

Bro I was there. During the "Glory Days" And Like I said in the post, I never miss a Game. I wasn't talking about Alvin Harper, I was asked a specific question about Alvin Harper. So no time hasn't stopped.

I'll was there, I'll be here. I just won't be a luke warm, scared wannabe fan. I was there for Roger's boneheaded pick directly to Mel Blount, when we lost to the Steelers. Doesn't mean a I don't respect The Greats, I just don't allow people to tell me what

I saw, It's part of being a MAN. Roger was the greatest, maybe the Goat depending upon who you ask, Definitely a Cowboys Fan favorite. But don't tell me what I saw with my own eyes.

Wasn’t really even replying to you with the comment. My bad. I should have been more specific.

It’s just that there are plenty of other old guys, like us, but they never moved on.

Time stopped for them. They don’t understand this is the salary cap era.

They don’t understand NFL parity.

It’s not the same game as it was in 1975

Honestly, a bunch of these guys probably didn’t even understand the 90s Cowboys. They just rode the bandwagon. I’m certain most of them hated Jerry and Jimmy because they never got past Tom and Tex but the super bowls allowed them to inch up their old heads to accept that success and set a new “it isn’t like the old days” milestone.

Did you miss the clearest example of him elevating the team last year when he came back from injury? Anemic offense to #1 in every major category when he came back.

Too many people are clouded in every aspect of football bc of recency bias. It is hillarious.
Actually, what I recall is the mediocre backup Cooper Rush (who the rest of the NFL practically ignored during the last free-agency) going 3-4 in Dak’s early absence. Please, don’t oversell Dak.
