The 49ers would love us using Micah to spy CM. That would take him away from what he does best which is pass rushing I don’t mind the idea of a spy but I’d prefer to use Hooker in that role.
Not really he came out of college as an off the ball linebacker that could rush the passer and we turned him into a pass rushing outside linebacker...
I wouldn't say all game but I think they should make him an off the ball linebacker 50-50/60-40 this game versus the whole 80-20 thing where he's just rushing the passer all the time they need to and some of these games with teams that work the edges with good running games and a lot of motion they need to have him as a real linebacker instead of an outside linebacker slash defensive end in some of these games I think would have been better off in Arizona had they done that....
What happens is like Philadelphia like Arizona and like some other teams with mobile quarterbacks or their offense can work the edges with motion and guys that can beat you in the backfield they run right at Micah Parsons and they basically neutralize him he gets caught in the wash there is no rushing the quarterback if he's constantly either moving away or right at him all game Philadelphia Eagles do this really really well.. He is basically being put in rush hour traffic and they're just running right at them a lot of big dudes are basically blocking him from doing his job as a pass rusher not every team can do it but this is the kind of team that you should sometimes not maybe use him as a spy but you gotta get him more off the ball linebacker and keep him off the line of scrimmage and out of the wash at times.. This dude can read and react he's supposed to be a very good linebacker as well not just a pass rusher and I wanna see him do that every now and again not all game but they should be putting him more in that position against certain teams...
