A Bad strategy, or maybe not?

The only thing I want Micah to do differently in this game is to not run too deep into the backfield. Don't give them running room.
Right. Don't focus so much on the pass rush that we give up the run. Don't give 'em the run or they'll kill us with it!

What if Micah spied Christian McCaffrey the entire game?
The benefit of Micah as a game-wrecking pass rusher would be nullified, but McCaffrey would be erased with a 240 lb player with CB speed.

Is that something you would do as defensive coordinator? Or does Dallas give away their pass-rush advantage with this approach?

Maybe this becomes the halftime adjustment if necessary.
I prefer to not use my best pass rusher as a spy, but maybe that is just me.

The strategy should involve excellent tackling from our linebackers and safeties.

Damone Clark, Donavon Wilson, Markquese Bell and Jayron Kearse going savage on McCafferty would improve the odds signficantly.

Yes, I understand... but the thought occurred to me... Dallas has the option to shut down the best player (non quarterback) on the field, specifically a running back, or an oversized TE or WR that gives most teams fits.
