I don't wish injury upon ANYONE. Never have. Never will. That said, DMC's idiotic faux pas may be a true blessing for the success of our beloved Dallas Cowboys folks. Zeke the FREAK will now be firmly entrenched as the man and doing so will allow him to properly prepare for an impact season. More reps. More comfort. I see our offense returning to juggernaut status behind an inspired line that gets to block for a freakish running back along with a QB & WR that are both excited to return to all pro form from injury.

This dumb save by McFadden IMO is a real blessing and will set us up for a playoff run. He pretty much made the decision for the coaches.

I agree.

When you have a RB of Zeke's caliber you want him in there early and often. As you said with his talent and our powerhouse O-Line he has a real chance at earning himself a bust in Canton.

Or just being a bust, lol

I'm hearing 2 mos and possibly missing that Sept11th opener.

The clock on that two month prognosis started when he hurt it Labor Day weekend. That brings him back in the middle of training camp. He won't miss the first regular season came. That's just wishful thing on your behalf.

Competition is a good thing, even for your 4th overall pick. I did believe Mcfadden would start game 1, but Im not sure he gets his job back by the end of preseason unless Elliott struggles. This could be what pushes Mcfadden off the team, especially if hes rusty when he comes back and tweaks a muscle.

Im neutral here as I do see the benefit of getting Elliott more reps, but I wouldn't call it a blessing by any stretch or think it will be the reason we have a great season. Mcfadden was one of the few bright spots last season and he deserved to compete to be the starter even though we just selected a back high in the draft. Lesson learned, its better to replace your cell phone, than to be replaced yourself.

I honestly don't think McFadden is on the final 53...

The Cowboys are praying a team needs a veteran between now and the regular season.

You must be a regular riot at parties. I bet you're the guy that always somehow finds a hair in his drink. And the color scheme of the room just doesn't quite seem to fit. :lmao:

Actually, I'm a retired combat vet and I don't drink, or attend parties. This thread isn't about me, stay on topic.

No prediction. Just find it funny so many are writing off McFadden and banking on the over rated rookie.

The clock doesn't start until it gets set/fixed and JG even said it could be a "few" months

Training camp looks optimistic but he will probably be deemed expendable by then

Am I the only one who wants DMC on this team? You can't have too many rb's........a couple will get banged up at some point.

I don't want Zeke being forced to do too much in his first season, especially the first 8 games or so. Let him ease into it.........

I would rather have the money- 2m and a rookie/much younger vet that plays STs

There was pretty much no chance Zeke went into the season and wasn't prepared to start anyway. Not necessarily a blessing, but it's a convenient reason to switch gears at RB.
