I didn't steal anything...it's not a patented phrase.....

Whenever I see you on here, you're always causing trouble... such an angry little fella.

You should have entrance music. Something like.... trollin', trollin, trollin' - RAWHIDE!

I see the same thing. Always a problem.

Doesn't matter. Zeke was going to be the man regardless. Coaches didn't have a choice to make bc Jerry had already made it for them. If Zeke is healthy, then he's getting 85% of the reps in games.

Zeke was going to take his job anyway

This injury does nothing

Am I the only one who wants DMC on this team? You can't have too many rb's........a couple will get banged up at some point.

I don't want Zeke being forced to do too much in his first season, especially the first 8 games or so. Let him ease into it.........

No you are not, those people who want DMac off the team are being short sighted.

Again, it was made clear that Zeke wouldn't get the job outright....... I don't have to find the media clippings of that idiotic approach. They're out there.

Thats said, training camp reps would have probably equated to 60/40 or 70/30 in favor of Zeke. NOW it is going to be 90/10 and those extra reps in TC will make a world of difference....

Don't kid yourself. When you spend a top 4 pick on a skill position like RB, he will be the starter. All that "earning it" talk is just window dressing.

Even if McFadden is back during training camp?

Yes...even if he never got hurt Zeke would still start from the first snap of the season....he wasn't drafted with the 4th overall pick to sit the bench behind two inferior rb's.......its not like a qb that can actually benefit from sitting behind a veteran qb to learn the system.

Yes because, as I have stated many times since the draft, our return to a ball control throat punching offense is going to keep the defense fresher and on the sidelines more than they were last year. This will make the defense better.

So fresher defense, means they won't be going up against a fresher offense on the other side?

The offense is always the aggressor. Fresher legs tend to help the defense raise their level of aggression to match the offense.

You must be one of those history reformist that thinks Emmitt Smith started the first game of his rookie season. Was he drafted to sit the bench? I think not and yet he did not start the first game of his rookie season. Neither will Elliott.

McFaddens not getting cut, he's making 2 mil a year, that's nothing, esp for the fourth leading rusher. Plus it's a contract year for him, I'm sure he's looking to get another multi year deal from some other team next year since He won't be back. And get a compensation pick

McFadden was 3rd stringer before the injury......2m is insane for a RB3 that won't even dress.....he probably wouldn't net us a comp pick in 2018, we were his only suitors last year....30 yr RBs have very little value in the NFL

If the Cowboys don't start their best RB after spending the 4th pick and 25m then they are dumber than most of the posts I see around here lately....your anti-Elliott schtik isn't endearing

Why didn't Emmitt start his first rookie game? He wasn't ready. Neither is Elliott. McFadden is our starting RB for the season opener. That might change week 2. It's got nothing to do with my opinion of the rookie.

Yeah he had to wait until his second game to get the start......Tommy Agee was such a roadblock, just like McFadden

I don't wish injury upon ANYONE. Never have. Never will. That said, DMC's idiotic faux pas may be a true blessing for the success of our beloved Dallas Cowboys folks. Zeke the FREAK will now be firmly entrenched as the man and doing so will allow him to properly prepare for an impact season. More reps. More comfort. I see our offense returning to juggernaut status behind an inspired line that gets to block for a freakish running back along with a QB & WR that are both excited to return to all pro form from injury.

This dumb save by McFadden IMO is a real blessing and will set us up for a playoff run. He pretty much made the decision for the coaches.

I highly doubt that Garrett would have let him rot on the bench too long like he did Murray. This was just too high profile a draft pick. But at least it takes out any chance for Garrett error and makes it all but certain the kid will be the bell cow from the start and he will be fully up to speed when the bullets start flying.

As far as making a playoff run, then will have more to do with the health of Romo then Zeke I am afraid.

He didn't start because he held out ALL of training camp and missed the whole preseason.....EE is already signed sealed and delivered......nice try......he still played in Game One, started Game 2 and never looked back
