I don't wish injury upon ANYONE. Never have. Never will. That said, DMC's idiotic faux pas may be a true blessing for the success of our beloved Dallas Cowboys folks. Zeke the FREAK will now be firmly entrenched as the man and doing so will allow him to properly prepare for an impact season. More reps. More comfort. I see our offense returning to juggernaut status behind an inspired line that gets to block for a freakish running back along with a QB & WR that are both excited to return to all pro form from injury.
This dumb save by McFadden IMO is a real blessing and will set us up for a playoff run. He pretty much made the decision for the coaches.
I agree.
When you have a RB of Zeke's caliber you want him in there early and often. As you said with his talent and our powerhouse O-Line he has a real chance at earning himself a bust in Canton.
It's truly going to be a beautiful sight to behold. Not just a power running game... A home run hitting game breaking running game.
Oh yeah mrtxstar will be fun to watch too while all of that is happening.
Who was the poster/fan who said the Cowboys absolutely would not selected Zeke with the #4 pick? I can remember his name, but I don't think he's been around lately.
As many have said in response to my OP, there probably is no scenario that didn't/doesn't end in the FREAK starting snap 1. Who really knows? I wasn't wishing injury on DMC at all. I was just pointing to the fact that his injury will give the FREAK the necessary wealth of 1st team reps to properly prepared for that snap 1 start.
Most of you will be cheering him on once you see him use his excellent vision and burst through the hole. The standard is high for this kid. This is the type of RB this offensive line needs. We had most of the skill set with Murray. With Zeke you will be seeing a better burst. He's a better athlete than Murray. He has elite vision to read the blocks and diagnose where the hole is. He's a violent runner. Trust me when I say this, the hype is real and the leauge is scared so they will be preparing for a physical game. With a healthy Romo and Dez. Continue chemistry of the offensive line and progression from Collins this offense has the potential to be dominant. They have to execute plays and most important of all stay healthy.
He's on a milk carton somewhere.
Not yet. I've twisted an ankle or two on the basketball court.... But slipped & broke something? No. I'm sure when that AARP kicks in, the probability will increase. Until then, nope.

I said it and was probably not the only one, but anyways, I stand behind it. Taking a RB at 4.....he better be Walter Payton good because he is getting paid like a pro bowler.
I dont think Zeke starts game 1, maybe game 4 to 5. Morris will if DMC can't. Too much pressure on a rookie. Need to ease him in.
He's definitely starting.
And Gold Jacket after the season I get it. Peterson got 1341 yards in his rookie season. Is that the line in the sand? Or is it Murray's 1845?
If he gets 1341, he will have proven to be worth the 4 pick. If he gets less than DMC's 1089 last year, someones gonna get fired.
I don't know. Is the difference between 1341 and 1089 worth the #4 overall to you? It's not to me. Granted, there's lots of considerations involving his play without the ball in his hands, but it's going to take a lot for me to feel like we made a smart pick on a RB that high.
Dude better be Lebron in a pair of cleats to justify his draft slot.
I didn't say broke something. I just said did you ever fall down - ever?
