Clearly research isnt your strong suit. Although analysis clearly isnt either. But this was a article from a day or two ago with the coaches already declaring Elliott the starting RB. So it looks like we dont even have to wait until the first game. I can laugh in your face right now.

There you go makng my point, thank you. Once again you can't counter my post so you counter me. You are losing the argument. McFadden is recovering from a broken elbow. So, next man up... that is why Elliott was getting the first team reps. McFadden will return and the rookie will relinquish the starting RB job to the rightful man for the job... Darren McFadden.

Amazing how you think the ONLY way to know a player well from another team is to be a fan of that team. Nope, you just have to be an educated, knowledgeable football fanatic. Playing Fantasy football for the last 20 years definitely helps. There has also been many articles written with analysis about McFadden and his time in Oakland. And how bad his performance truly was.

...Or there is your route, an Oakland Raiders fan.

I don't wish injury upon ANYONE. Never have. Never will. That said, DMC's idiotic faux pas may be a true blessing for the success of our beloved Dallas Cowboys folks. Zeke the FREAK will now be firmly entrenched as the man and doing so will allow him to properly prepare for an impact season. More reps. More comfort. I see our offense returning to juggernaut status behind an inspired line that gets to block for a freakish running back along with a QB & WR that are both excited to return to all pro form from injury.

This dumb save by McFadden IMO is a real blessing and will set us up for a playoff run. He pretty much made the decision for the coaches.

Zeke the Freak? HE has ZERO NFL yards....DMAC was one of the better rushers in the league last year and is a class act. Why the hate on him is beyond me. All I know is Zeke has done nothing and is already Emmitt Part 2...

Wow, congrats on every point of your post being wrong...impressive

McFadden was 3rd stringer before the injury......2m is insane for a RB3 that won't even dress.....he probably wouldn't net us a comp pick in 2018, we were his only suitors last year....30 yr RBs have very little value in the NFL

not one thing I said was incorrect but have at it chief

we have

EE- RB1
Morris- RB2
Dunbar- 3rd down
RSmith-FB emergency TB
DJackson- PS

FAs- Reggie Bush, Joique Bell, Arian Foster, Pierre Thomas, Bryce Brown

I'm not reading too much into the McFadden injury. Remember he was injured last offseason, a hammy if I recall, and he rebounded to have a great year. I do believe Zeke will be the main guy at some point, but he may not start the season. It depends on a lot. Tony Dorsett, despite being a #1 overall draft pick, did not start the first 6 or so games his rookie season. Preston Pearson did. The reason was Pearson fully knew the offense and Dorsett was still learning. Does this mean it will be the same situation with Zeke? Not at all. He may indeed be ready to go as the starting back from day one. If he's not, however, I don't want to see fans going berserk. The team will make a decision based on who they think gives us the best chance to win those first games. Maybe he starts from day 1. Maybe he's a relief back at first, and after a few games he starts. If I remember right, I believe Emmitt started from day 1, mainly because every other (non-fullback) back was a scrub. So of our two most elite RBs in team history, one didn't start on day one, but the other did.

This offense became Ezekiel Elliott's the moment the pick was made. Darren McFadden's health status is irrelevant.

"Boom!"

Drop the mic and walk off proud. We have a winner.

You don't draft a RB 4th overall and have him standing on the sideline.
Anyone with common sense knows that.... but there's always that one guy who likes to stir the pot.

Am I the only one who wants DMC on this team? You can't have too many rb's........a couple will get banged up at some point.

I don't want Zeke being forced to do too much in his first season, especially the first 8 games or so. Let him ease into it.........

Zeke is gonna carry us early the season until we work out the kinks in the passing game and then Romo will carry us the rest of the way except this time our rb Zekeis prolly not gonna fumble the ball when he sees nothing but green that our Oline created in Green Bay and he'll actually score! we move on next rd.... its that play was the turnaround play for GB but anyway...... thats how i see this season shaking out

I figured you were an Oakland Raider fan. LOL Thanks for admitting it.

just going through reading ur comments one thing i can say u are firm in ur beliefs about wanting to see it first but belief is not real life right now so lets try to be realistic honestly i doubt McFadden beats out Darius Jackson from what i've heard about him, it hasn't been much but it hasn't been bad reports i tell you that, so far anyway......

So McFadden is already starting off the season injured #Facts and he's known to be injury prone and u banking on him? The Oline is gonna make the holes and thats #Facts ... Zeke vs a safety or McFadden vs a safety who actually gonna score in that situation one on one? i got Zeke in that situation McFadden is not a better runner than Zeke #Facts... you can do what ever you want on offense whenever u want any way you want to do it with Zeke coach already came out and said it the ones thats see him everyday all day long Romo already trust the guy a lot already..... So yea ok keep believing McFadden is the better rb .. #Facts

Its like we have to accommodate McFadden in order for him to succeed our playbook shrinks with zeke we can be creative as , for example McFadden can't run zone scheme well and thats proven on tape #Facts, he is at his best in man blocking Zeke it don't matter pick your poison again the lanes are going to be there guaranteed by this line I'm not doubting them so now you look at ability McFadden vs Zeke .. Dallas wants to run Zone with a lil man mixed in not man with a little zone Zeke can do both really well and can run the whole route tree ....so no if McFadden was healthy he still wouldn't start week 1 unless barring you know what (I don't even want to put that out in the atmosphere) anyway........

If McFadden started then we would be leaning on Romo to carry us again #Facts which is not what we want to do right now the season for which more hits on him but u already hear how our offensive coordinator raves about Zeke right now and the writers who are there watching practice things we can't see or watch and he haven't even put on the pads cause he's sure not going down on the first hit so easily like mcfadden will and has done..

U have Never heard our offensive coordinator Scott talk about McFadden the way he is talking about Zeke in these interviews right now #Facts. And in Oakland didn't rb Murray beat him and out perform McFadden in Oakland running behind that same line? so is it the player or the coach

not jumping on u but i had to present some #facts about the situation and now he's gone for 2 months he a backup right now and off roster by start of season

Thank you for your post. I appreciate your observation but you'll pardon me if I don't take what I don't see with my own eyes as "fact". Reporters and coaches have agendas and what they say or what is reported they say is not always so factual. I know what I have seen with McFadden. I have never seen Elliott do anything in NFL pads and neither has any one else. Until then my opinion remains unchanged. Good day sir.

yeah, that too. There is alot of pressure that comes with the 4th pickle overall......

I think he handles it. But time will tell....

By all accounts, he's a smart pickle too. I think we have a keeper but I'm in wait and see mode.

When I said the FREAK draft pick alomg with the Morris signing would make McFadden expendable, people practically caned me.... Well.. We shall see. I still say McFadden isn't on the roster come regular season.

Why didn't Emmitt start his first rookie game? He wasn't ready. Neither is Elliott. McFadden is our starting RB for the season opener. That might change week 2. It's got nothing to do with my opinion of the rookie.

I highly doubt that Garrett would have let him rot on the bench too long like he did Murray. This was just too high profile a draft pick. But at least it takes out any chance for Garrett error and makes it all but certain the kid will be the bell cow from the start and he will be fully up to speed when the bullets start flying.

As far as making a playoff run, then will have more to do with the health of Romo then Zeke I am afraid.
Solid point but I believe the playoffs this year will have to do with complete offensive unity and health. That includes Romo and the FREAK.
