A couple of interesting nuggets from Mel on the WRs

If McMillan makes it to 12 I think it becomes a no brainer for the Cowboys. They desperately need a WR 2 who can line up outside the numbers. Hes certainly a bit of a project in that he needs to improve his routes and likely needs to take his lumps against bigger corners in man coverage, but the ceiling here is incredible with all the traits you look for with the exception of maybe that stretch the defense type of straight line speed.
He instantly helps our terrible red zone offense

Uhhh... I'm taking Tet at 12 pretty easily, unless there is a DL there I really, really like. Like if Mike Green aces the combine and he's there, or if Graham has a Laremy Tunsil-incident.

Tet looks like AJ Green to me. We need help everywhere. Slam dunk.

Why don't teams like him? Or is this just spun yarn?
I like him. But to me he’s not a plug and play in any system. He’s Drake London good not elite.

“Possession receiver with the size and ball skills to create big wins deep. He’s a linear route-runner who wears press coverage early and coasts too often on deep routes, but he has a feel for uncovering underneath and can play over the top of cornerbacks for easier jump-ball wins.”

In a scenario where we are dead set on taking an offensive skill position (and all prospects were available), I would take the following prospects in this order:

  1. Tet McMillan. He’s an instant starter, red zone threat, and exactly what we need next to CeeDee.
  2. Tyler Warren. Controversial, but I think he makes sense on so many levels in terms of pass catching, run game, and attitude.
  3. Ekbuka. He profiles like Reggie Wayne to me; polished and productive receiver that’s ready to step in Day 1.
  4. Ashton Jeanty. He makes sense if we don’t want to risk losing out on preferred RBs prospects later in the draft.
Like seeing more Warren fans here. He is going to be a playmaker.

I would have no problem taking him at twelve.

Please watch the film on YouTube of Tet lighting up Colorado in 2023. He busted Hunter up.

Warren would cause epic meltdowns here, for that alone I'm in. But seriously, there's been increasing rumblings among the media guys that he would be a good choice especially if wiped out elsewhere.

Who we meet with should start coming out tomorrow, this will tell us where there heads are at.

Tyler Warren is just as much as a receiving threat as any WR in this draft.
Matthew Golden is a top 5 WR

Would love it, but there is no way T-Mac drops all the way down to #12.

I told y'all the Cowboys should have been tanking since the Thanksgiving game loss. I got chided royally, and for what? For being right?

Had the Cowboys tanked since Thanksgiving, we would be drafting in the Top 5 of every round. T-Mac would easily be attainable. Too bad many can't or refuse to understand what should have been best for the team post-2024.

If Warren is all that and the next Gronk I could possibly be on board. Dak tends to look at CeeDee, TE and then dump off to RB. Having that big time dominant pass catcher down the middle maybe better than a drafting a #2 WR in a weaker receiver draft.

Whether or not fans wanted to tank had no bearing on the Cowboys final record and draft spot.
