A Dak skeptic upon further review: He played at a high level

One pick was the result of a guy tugging at his throwing shoulder as he let the ball go and the other Brown played volleyball with. Dak had a very good game.. His teammates let him down. He will never say it, but any rational fan saw it. These delusional morons trying to spin it as a bad game are again trying to convince themselves that they're right. Dak was on point that entire game. His only mistake continues to be trusting his receivers.. and they keep letting him down.

Yah, maybe his arm did get hit on the first pick but I’d still put that one on him. It wasn’t his blind side so he was looking right at the pressure in his face. Just take the sack or throw it away if you can.

But yea, even including that pick his line should’ve been 270 total yards / 3 / 1 with a QBR of 107. Rock solid.

Shame it didn’t matter as the defense played one of its worst games of the season.

Sometimes "just throwing a pick" most certainly can be the reason you lose. Even if you play well the rest of the game.

Noah is getting curb stomped...for playing well "most of the game". But Dak gets your free pass.

Not personally attacking you...just saying in general.

Noah dropped two CRUCIAL balls with the game on the line. QBs get 30-40 opportunities to make plays in a game. Receivers get 8-10 if they're lucky. QBs can fail on 2-3 plays a game. Receivers can't. And we can't even realistically say Dak failed on much more than that. He completed 23 of 30 passes and we know there were at least two drops in there, two by Brown and one by Schultz. One other incompletion was a screen he threw into the ground because the defense blew it up. Otherwise it's a 26 for 30 game and the Cowboys probably win in regulation.

The bottom line is Dak did play well the entire game. Counting Noah's drops against Dak is simply biased thinking. Both balls hit him in the hands or the chest.

As long as he isn’t the clear cut reason we’re losing I’m not going to bash him just because he’s the QB. Most of the games he’s thrown a pick the good has still outweighed the bad.

If you watched TNF last night that is bad QB play that is directly losing you games. Jets obviously lol.
Up until the jags game all his picks came in the first half and none in the 2nd.

Picks aren't good but if you have them I much rather it be in the first half when you still have time to over come it.

Reminds me of this girl. She drove very well overall, except when there was an obstacle in her way.

Hey, she got into the end zone!

Yeah I suppose you could see it that way. I simply see it as him either trusting (there's that word again) his teammate to keep the guy off him a tick longer or him believing he could get it off before the guy got there. Once you're in the throwing motion it's always dicey to try and bring the ball back in. We've seen the ball decide to come out anyway and turn into a fumble many times. But there's a reason why they call it RUSHING the quarterback.

Yea, I mean INTs are never good but you kind of have to take it as part of the game with an aggressive QB. As long as the good outweighs the bad I can live with it.

I don’t really consider myself pro or anti any player but thought he played really well.

Spread the ball around well, looked poised confident and had a few big plays rolling out of the pocket to extend drives.
Agreed. There are a lot of QBs who are good and win because they stay within their boundaries of ability and have good player/coaching support around them. Then there are fewer QB's who have the ability to will their team to win in almost any circumstance. Staubach, Montana, Elway, Brady, Stabler to name a few. They just have an extra mental gear they shift into in order to take over the situation in the 4th quarter and the supporting cast follows their lead.

We shall respectfully disagree on one player having to play perfect and the other getting excuses.

sure its free speech and opinions but many of those concerns is regergitated BS from the same people. I have reached the point where i laugh.people look at that 40 mil and therfore its his fault and while he can take part of the blame as far as Im concerned he is down the list of things to be worried about. And as you say there are not alot of other options out there. Our window is now an unfortunately we will need a few breaks to go our way to represent the NFC. I think we can beat tampa and Philly(well find out saturday) but I dont know we are good enough to beat San Fran without the rookie making mistakes.

Im just going to enjoy the ride and laugh at the meltdowns. My days of losing sleep over this organization are behind me. If jerry dont care enough to fix it ill root on sunday maybe be pissed through monday then Im on to the next thing. Injuries have curbed my enthusiasm for the defense plus we havent stopped the run all season long.
I agree fully. This organization.... And a lot of "fans"....just take the passion out of me. It used to be an obsession and now it's just a pastime. Literally passing the time and a diversion.

We'll see. I'm open to getting my mind changed. :)

Just my opinion but the Cowboys last drive after they got the turnover sealed their fate. Dak and the offense played lights out in the first half. Offense struggled in the second half and the defense was atrocious. But the defense finally made a big play and they could have iced the game after the turnover. I don’t know why they didn’t call a play action pass on that third down with Dak rolling out that gave him options…keep the ball and run it, throw down field if it’s open, or simply go down and force them to use their last time out.

We can debate this all day long, but Dak is very competent when you don’t ask him to do too much. Would I take an upgrade, hell yes. But who? Dak is what we have to roll with for now. I think he is good enough if the team plays well overall. Hell, even Mahomes struggles when he tries to do too much and is pressured.

Again, they are 10-4 and in the playoffs. I am glad the Eagles are the media darlings going in. Let”s see how they handle the pressure going forward.

Dak is a top ranked front runner and when things are going great he is fine. When pressure mounts he is no better than a Baker Mayfield. That is where the problem lies. He looks real good at times and people wonder why he can't play like that all the time and the simple answer is pressure combined with inconsistent play.
Yeah, like that go-ahead TD pass on 3rd down with 3 minutes left!

What a choker! What a front-runner! Do it when there's PRESSURE for once, Dak!!!

Have you ever watched Baker Mayfield for an entire game?

I live in Carolina and have multiple times. I can assure you, what we have is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Baker.

It’s these sequences (momentum) that is really getting to me. Bossmanfat gives up a TD looking into the backfield. To be honest, I was hoping after we got pinned deep that we would be able to punt it back because I felt an INT coming and right on time a pick, and now the reeling defense has to go back and play D with a short field. I don’t fully understand why the defense has been so poor. Yes, there are guys that are hurt so I do factor that in, but it just feels like when Dak got back they took a mini vacation. My expectation is what they did to the Vikings and the Colts in that last quarter. That is my expectation of the defense with a healthy Dak. My expectation is also that Dak stop with the picks. I want the same offense cooper rush was running just with a few more deep shots here or there.
