A Dak skeptic upon further review: He played at a high level

When you don’t evaluate as pro Dak / anti Dak and just as a rational football fan it’s amazing how the perspective changes.

Dak played very well overall against Jax with 1 awful pick.

Even that pick he was hit on the arm just as he threw it. It wasn't a bad throw at all. Was it from not being aware of Martin (or was it Smith?) getting beat by a stunting lineman and was right behind him? Maybe.

Yeah I suppose you could see it that way. I simply see it as him either trusting (there's that word again) his teammate to keep the guy off him a tick longer or him believing he could get it off before the guy got there. Once you're in the throwing motion it's always dicey to try and bring the ball back in. We've seen the ball decide to come out anyway and turn into a fumble many times. But there's a reason why they call it RUSHING the quarterback.
of course any excuse for Dak is fine with dak fanboy

Me fellow frustrated fellows and bland men (a good thing):
I took time from me prank calls and dominos tournament to revisit a highlights video of Cowboys vs. Jags.

Upon further review, Dak turned in a good to very good game. It is clear to see. Passes to Lamb, Brown and even Sequel Elliott made him a highlight reel in itself.

Dak's stats, 23-30/256 yards (save 2 INTs) against the jags are impressive.

Looked crisp. Tough, bulls headfirst into a defensive wall close to a TD. Off the field he is a role model.

Thus, on second look, in the rumination of a vacuous mind, I extend an olive loaf to the Dak lovers, who loyally bear the slings and feathers of the many Dak skeptics. They exemplifiy fealty of true fans, some of whom see the star and withhold valid complaint.

But on the same token, as Dak impressed this keen eye I thought to meself, but what about crunch time.
That, me hale, misguided Dak lovers, is what worries me.

Me dudes and the ambiguous, I and the Dak detractors need to see a leadership and decisiveness come crunch time.

Mateys, on Sunday, a holy day, I saw Dak throwing TDs at each end of the end zone, running for a first down and bulling his way near the end zone.
But short.
I respect Dak, hale men, but against the Egirls I expect an "A" game.

If he plays a good game yet doesn't take his team over the line, it is fair to question Dak's cumulative gain to the Cowboys.
It is tha simple. Get over into tha end zone now and in tha playoffs.

He's kinda gone from an Alex Smith (rookie exception) to Brett Favre style of playing. Meaning, methodical and careful to semi-reckless

I think he did get hit, but he has to see that coming IMO. It wasn’t from his blindside.

I put that pick on him and the OT pick on Noah.

Glad you can admit it, a lot of people get locked into one train of thought and ignore the evidence right in front of them.

Dak has had a few rough games like in GB but he played at a high level vs the Jags.

I'm pretty sure that he was better than Lawrence who fumbled at the end of regulation and went 3 and out in overtime. If Brown catches that last pass they probably would have won the game.

Even when I agree with you, I don't want to acknowledge it because of these childish posts.

I’m not gonna lie I’m pro Dak and I came away from that game not thinking he was why we lost
But thinking it was a “meh” game. Watching it again….It was better than I initially thought. Especially when you look at the All 22. There’s a lot of stupidity going on that just isn’t winning football and it wasn’t the qb play.
The view from the all 22 does allow for a broader perspective, and you are correct with a lot of stupidity, missed assignments.
Not just Daks fault, but he is deserving of due criticism just as much as others need to be, not just on offense, the entire team.

One pick was the result of a guy tugging at his throwing shoulder as he let the ball go and the other Brown played volleyball with. Dak had a very good game.. His teammates let him down. He will never say it, but any rational fan saw it. These delusional morons trying to spin it as a bad game are again trying to convince themselves that they're right. Dak was on point that entire game. His only mistake continues to be trusting his receivers. and they keep letting him down.
Wish there was a stat for balls tipped into air, as long as I have been watching I can't remember a time when we had more and find myself asking why that is.

And why so many of ours go right to the defenders.
Like a video game, hit these two buttons at the same time and then hold down this button to make ball fly into air and into defensive players hands.
I only know this from getting dragged into madden football on my nephews playstation when he can find nobody else to destroy.

Well last season the top receiving targets where Cooper, Lamb and Schultz with Wilson and Gallup sprinkled in. All those are reasonably reliable. This year there is no Cooper or Wilson, Schultz and Gallup are both gimpy and Brown has replaced Wilson. In short, the quality of targets for Dak has gone down significantly. Lesser skilled players are called lesser skilled for a reason. You can probably imagine Cooper catches at least one of those passes against the Jags.. maybe both of them. Of course if he catches the first one the second one never happens. But more accurately if Cooper is in the line up he gets the triple coverage that Lamb drew and Lamb would have been one on one and the ball probably goes to him. Very much the butterfly effect right.

We all knew that getting rid of Cooper would bite this team in the butt at various times this season. People saying Lamb is outperforming him miss the point. We could have Coop as our #2 receiver instead of Brown or a gimped up Gallup. This offense would be on a whole nother level if that was the case.

Remember that pass Romo was trying to throw away without getting called for intentional grounding and it hit Witten's foot, bounced up and was picked?

my evil part is whispering to me that getting rid of cooper was part of Jerry's plan to get ODB
