Mike Pettine

-former HC of the browns
-firmilar with Schott as he was the dc when he was the oc with the jets. Reportedly still has a strong relationship with.
-runs a hybrid, attacking scheme that employs a lot of man coverages
-is currently on Brian Flores staff with the Vikings

We get someone to play more man coverage and guys will get burnt!!!

We bring pressure and blitz more that's one on one matchups we don't do well with

Quinn was the last DC to get the best out of this group and even he had issues.
Changing DCs and Schemes over and over has not panned out.
Are you suggesting Eberflus is the answer if he's given enough time?

Quinn was the only recent one worth keeping.
But getting rid of Eberflus does not mean you will get a new one that will solve the problems here.
Eberflus does have to go. Quinn should come back and give up on being a head coach.

IF he got the right players for his system....Mabye.
But that is not what I am suggesting.

I am just saying that getting rid of him for another DC does not mean it will fix the problems this team has right now...Especially if it means getting yet another DC who wants to run a completely different scheme that currently does not have the players to maximize the scheme.

So either you get what I am saying or you do not. Not being rude by saying that either.

I hear you, was just legitimately curious if he felt he was the answer.

The idea of 4 DCs in 4 year is rough, but if he's a Garrett, but that then keeping him around for continuity's sake.

I'd move on. He's made this group worse.

Areyou suggesting they keep Eberflus?
All of the players on The Players Lounge voted to keep Eberflus because as they watch the game, they put it squarely on the players. Just their opinions….Anthony Dorsett, Barry Church, and Damontre Moore. Newly Scruggs was surprised by their opinions. Moore had previously played for both Eberflus and Brian Flores.

But Quinn has been the only DC that has made a difference in years.

Nolan, Quinn, Zimmer and Eberflus.

I would rather see if the commmanders fired Quinn and bring him back. He would still know many of the players and they would know his system.

This team needs a better DC. Problem is there is no guarantee we get a better one if they get rid of Flus.

What if Jerry gets rid of Flus and the other Ryan brother gets hired?

Honestly, I'm genuinely hoping they fire DQ and comes back. It's my pipe dream for this year.

Interview Jim Leonhard secondary coach Broncos as well as being Bronco Asst HC he was promoted in 2024 .

It Vance Joseph gets another shot at HC either he brings Leonhard with him as DC or Payton promotes him to DC .
He’s young 43 and the Broncos with a top rated D rave about his work . He also played safety in the NFL he knows what he’s doing .

Broadus had an interesting opinion on Al Harris . He said he thought Harris wasn’t popular in the building ( The Star ) as some think he was lax with Diggs leading to bad habits in play . Don’t think Al Harris will be back other than as a visiting coach . You have to say guys like Nashon Wright now a Bear and DaRon Bland have certainly benefited from Harris exposure .
