I think Lee is good vs the pass but not the best in the NFL. There were many times last year when he failed to get deep enough into his drops.

If Lee and McClain were on the field at the same time for the Cowboys McClain would be the Mike and Lee at either "wing".

Can see how my wording there was poor.
Meant to indicate his combination of those traits I listed was best in the league.

Lee's ability to play the pass is best demonstrating by his insane number of INTs.

I was against moving Lee to the WLB, but after seeing McClain at the MLB and Carter at the SLB, I think that would be the best set up. Lee is good in coverage and would take less of a pounding at WLB. Carter can get to QB better than anything else he does and that seems to work better at the SLB.

The best thing I took from Sunday is that Rolando McClain is a better player than Sean Lee when he's into it.

LOL funniest thing I've read on here in a very long time

McClain is not an overall better player than Lee, but there are areas where McClain is probably better.

Lee is a great all around LB which includes pass defense, run defense and being the defensive leader. Pass defense is a huge issue in the modern, pass-happy NFL.

McClain is probably more intimidating physically. His ability to shock OLinemen and get off blocks is elite. His siza and ability to both go against OLinemen and still have the speed to run around in coverage is rare.

I saw downs where he was clearly not the MIKE.

And those were downs were he didn't look like his heart was into it.

It's possible, but I don't remember it. Any chance you're referring to plays where he was in the Nickel?

Does anybody else here remember if Rolando McClain played WILL or SAM in the preseason?

I could go back through all 4 preseason games, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

No need to, X...all linebackers were switched about at some point in the off season.

Put that crack pipe down, go to rehab and find a religion where you can repent this sin.

Both on the field would be awesome. But it has been a long time since we have seen lee playing and it appears some have forgotten his speed, angles, and flat out finding the football.

McClain will need to be amazing for a while before I give any ground to Lee.

Lee's problem is staying healthy. Not playing the game.

Didn't Claiborne get like a 4 or 6 or something really awful on the Wonderlic? It would indicate that he isn't going to be able to learn by being shown or reading play diagrams.....he is going to have to actually be on the field being shown what he is supposed to do. Since he misses so much practice, seems pretty clear why he might not be able to perform in game time. Also looking for this cocky, combative guy from training camp. Where is he?

Mo scored a 4.....................and Jerry drafted him 6

I don't like it....I love it. Totally awesome especially since Lee might be on the field for 8-10 games or more?? Add in a draft pick taken during day one or two and we are deep at LB.

Mo has a learning disability that basically makes it hard for him to read.
It was known well before the test.
Hard to rate his intelligence on things that are not written.

Makes you wonder how he got into a school of higher learning.

I just reviewed the Dolphins game. He was either the MLB or one of 2 LBs in the Nickel. The Cowboys were in Nickel most of the game.

You might have thought he was not at MLB because in the Nickel, when there the slot CB is wide away from the line, then the LBs tend to shift slightly to that side. The same thing happened on a couple of snaps when they had 3 LBs with Wilber out covering a TE that was split wide. This caused the other 2 LBs to shift slightly from their normal alignment; nevertheless, McClain was still the MLB.
