How about Dimebags Dean from Hell ML

That particular axe has an interesting story.
NYC's Les Paul is a beauty.
I love Jackson Guitars, specially King Vs.
Phil Collen's Ibanez DT555 is awesome too,so are Warren DeMartini's Charvels.

Im suprised no one has mentioned uncle Ted and one of his high action gibson byrdlands.
I saw him last summer and for being 60+ years old the guy has still got it in spades.

Always wanted an SG.

Same here.

I have never been a big fan of Gibsons. Well let me rephrase that some. I have liked the sound of them but have never cared for the feel of them. I have played a few and I have found them bulky and heavy plus I don't care for thick necks for the most part.

However the one I did play and liked was the SG. So I think if I ever bought a gibson it would be a nice SG.

They sound good, but I find them extremely ugly.

I'm the exact opposite. Love the way they look, think they sound like tin. Except for the two guys pictured in this thread....Angus and Tony. But as all you guitar players know, your sound is 90% in your own fingers.
I'm paraphrasing a cool quote from EVH, when Uncle Ted asked to play through his equipment at a soundcheck...."It sounded like Ted Nugent playing through my amp."

My 2010 Gibson Les Paul is chambered making it extremely light compared to Les Paul's of old.

It does still have the thicker neck compared to some, but I don't find the guitar itself bulky.

The only thing I don't really like about it is the Tune-O-Matic. Give me a Floyd Rose over a Tune-O-Matic any day.

Yeah...I have grown so used to the floyd that the tune o matic on my schecter just feels odd.

Exactly. My nephew and my close friend's sons play Gibsons and I have a hard time going from my Shecter to their guitars. A guy I knew back in the day and the guy who really got me started had an SG and I loved that thing.

Not on a Les Paul...a Floyd Rose on a LP is sacrilege...
