How about Paul Stanley's Iceman? Love this look...

I loved the cracked mirror look. I think he also had a Warlock like that.

I won't post a link or picture to it, but if you get bored, do a google image search for the wangcaster guitar for a laugh.

Les Paul is rolling in his grave...I guess they had to wait for him to pass away to usher in such abomination.

Presented as an “upgrade,” a three pickup version of the Les Paul Custom was also made available in 1957, complete with a distinct new circuitry that offered a host of new tonal possibilities. The guitar’s toggle switch was wired to activate the middle and bridge pickups together in the center position, instead of combining the neck and bridge pickups, which gave the guitar an out-of-phase option that wasn’t available before. Both the two-pickup and three-pickup versions of the 1957 Les Paul Custom were also available with a Bigsby “True Vibrato” unit, which was an option available on most Gibson guitars during the 1950s and 1960s.

OLD GIBSONS WERE AVAILABLE WITH VIBRATO BARS AKA TREMOLOs.

The above is Les Paul rolling over in his grave as he plays a gibson with a tremolo.

Who did you hear all this from? I can't imagine it's from your experience. I seriously doubt you've ever even seen one in person much less played one. (if you actually even play, which would make you even making *any claim* absurd)

Umm, those are far from anything I think is cool. :laugh2:

Yes but you don't have any pimp blood in your veins. :p:

On a serious note, I thought it was pretty cool in the Legs video when they spin the furry guitars.

Nice try...that kind of tremolo has been around for ages...it is not a Floyd Rose...missing the point.

No I am not missing the point. You whine and cry about a tremolo or floyd on a gibson.

Just because something is not normal does not make it bad.

For instance...Fender strats are known to have 3 single coil picks ups and not humbuckers.

But one of the great guitarist for one of the greatest metal bands ever...has humbuckers in his Strat...

I see no Floyd Rose nor Kahlers on these ones.

But Alex Lifeson of Rush's does.

Another Gibson...

You can do a google GIS and find plenty of gibbys with Floyds and Kahler tremolo systems on them.

I learned long ago that when a man is making a fool of himself, get out of his way.

Apparently, difference in opinion is something foreign for you.
So for you and that mod,I hate the idea of a Floyd Rose on a LP.
BP tried to run by me that pic of the man himself with a his guitar with a tremolo.Seen those many times and aesthetically they match the guitar.

As for you, genius boy,I do play.I have owned an array of guitars, amps and effects, even drum kits, played live before audiences and recorded music in professional studios, all before 1990.

What about you?

Good Lord BP...I said Les Pauls, not all Gibsons.Flying V with a Floyd is cool.
And I love Floyd Roses, just not on a LP.

As for the Strats, they are cool too with modifications.
Dave Murray played a modded strat with hb/s/hb and a Floyd Rose...awesome guitar.Don't mind it at all.

As I stated...you can find plenty of them with Floyds or Kahler systems and again it is not nothing new for Les Paul Gibbys to have tremolo systems...since they had them back in the 50's and 60's

I know that BP.
It was an old tremolo system, not a Floyd Rose.
The LP is the first solid body electric guitar(you know that),the Model T of guitars.A sacred entity.
Along came the tremolo and LP with one of those old school trems are ok.
But in my humblest of opinion,a Floyd Rose double locking trem crashes it.
Alex Lifeson and even that dude in American Idol dig the idea, but I don't.
When it comes to LPs I'm a purist.Alpine whites,Gold tops,Black Beauties,Customs...awesome intruments.
