On right now, and while he was a crazy SOB, he was an amazing dominant player. What is amazing is all the sacks they have shown he never goes low, never anything close to cheap. Pretty surprising considering all the stories.

Sure wish he was our DL coach ......could teach the young guys a few things, especially Gregory, Lawrence and Crawford. He also would put the fear of God in them to push themselves and not slack.

It seems like he is a calmer, cooler, more same person these days, but many of the people that are so devoted to the game don't make great coaches. I am not sure he would make a great coach....in saying that, it was interesting to hear Aikman say that one of the things that shocked him when Haley came was that he knew what everyone in the defense was supposed to do. The calls, the coverages, adjustments....he knew everything and that was pretty unusual for someone on the DL. When you think about it, how many DL become great coordinators or coaches? Seems like a lot of LB and secondary guys make up the majority of defensive coordinators.

Haley will forever missed... My respect for his commitment to winning has risen even higher after watching this documentary.

Amazing to see how he's transformed into a better person. The most clutch pass rusher I've ever seen. 5 rings! Can't say more.

Man, that was good. You can see the love that Troy and Deion and Leon have for him, as well as guys like Steve Young and Ronnie Lott. Seems like there isn't anyone that had more drive to win than he did, not surprising he is the only one with 5 rings. And seems like he has come to grips with his demons and is doing his best to be a better man. Can only hope that some of the troubled players of today..cough, Hardy, cough, cough....will learn something from his story.

I thought same thing and then when I heard him talk yesterday it was little sad. Maybe too many hits to head. Charles played at time when a concussion meant nothing and non-QB rarely missed time from it.

"I want to punch Ronnie Lott in the head with my 5 rings"

Aikman: "we didn't even know how to spell super bowl until Haley got here"

I'm reading all these posts about how he's more calm and saner these days..although I haven't watched it yet (but trust and believe I will because he is one of my all time top Cowboys)....you do know he has a mental disorder and is on medication. I'm sure the documentary covered that.

Loved how he razzed guys in the lockerroom! Even telling Troy I would love to sack you, etc. That was great!

And the story about him throwing his helmet and just barely missing Jerry was awesome, I never knew that. It was the year Emmitt held out and he said go pay the best rb on the planet so we can win!! And the next week Jerry did! Lol

I believe it's a medically induced calm. ;)

Great show. It makes me wonder if Jerry sees the Hardy situation as Haley all over again.

Indeed. If you ever want to know what drives Jerry to take chances on "questionable" players, look no further than this documentary. Now, it would be interesting to analyze the hit rate on such players (I'd imagine that it is pretty rare to yield that type of production in return for the negativity), but at least you can see what motivates our GM to keep trying. There seems to be consensus across the board that Haley was the missing link which propelled us to 3 Super Bowls.

Yes...I know he has bipolar disorder but it is pretty clear the man has grown up. He take his meds and sees his counselor. It's not his fault that he has the disorder, but he has taken ownership of it and has tried to make up for the past. Hard to fault the guy. I suggest you watch it and see what you think.
